Does it bother you when people post discussions and you can barely see a proper word in their question?
ie - What do u want 2 b when you grow up? R u for real?
I have a feeling that some of the really bad ones don't get much response, and even if they do if they don't have proper words and tags that might affect what kind of payout they get for the discussion.
What do you think?

At first when I saw that type of typing I thought it was funny. But now it is agrivating to me. I can understand some using that in a game situation when there is a small box to send a message and only so many letters allowed. But in discussion sites like this, I take the ones more seriously who take the time to type out the words. I dont mind things like ty or yw, but that is about it. Some have problems typing and spelling, and that doesn't bother me. But to just be too lazy to type out the word two, to, too with 2 will not get a response from me.

To me it does not matter as long as it is not racist. That is not called for.

I don't even like that stuff when I'm doing text messages on the cell phone! I do still do it a little bit in that setting - my thumb can only do so much! But, with a full keyboard and (seemingly) unlimited space, I don't know why it's such a burden for some to put the Y and O in you, etc. It does make it hard to read sometimes and I've gotten to where I don't even participate in discussions that start that day, or else give the very smallest of response to comments I get in my own discussions.

This really bothers me. I have much tolerance, respect even, for those who are attempting English when it is not their first language, but the kind of jibberish that you describe really annoys me! I think that it is just lazy. And I think you are correct, it doesn't serve any real purpose here.

It depends on how you find it easier to type. Because i use msn and myspace so much, it starts to affect the way that i type.
