When cooking soups or other foods that can be a bit bland do you add any hot sauce? I add a bit of hot sauce to some hot sauce to bean and potato soup to make it more flavorful. Not enough to make it hot to the tongue just enough to give them some zip. Does any one else do this. Do you have a way of making a bland dish come alive with flavor?

I've been using seasoned salt (I like Lawry's) and seasoned pepper. They go by different names such as Hot Shot and Hot Salt but I prefer them to using lots of plain salt. I add them to just about everything from soups and stews to vegetables. If you have a problem getting your family to eat their veggies, try adding a cream soup and a little milk and some grated cheese then baking them in the oven till the cheese is melted. I love the Chipoltle Cheddar cheese for many different things - salads, vegetables, scrambled eggs or omelots, you name it. I hate bland but it's really simple to add a little kick to any dish!

I use a lot of dofferent herbs and spices too but once in a while the dish needs an extra kick. Ilike your idea for the veggies. I also like the Chipolte flavore and salad dressing. I'll have to get some Chipolte cheddar cheese next time I go grocery shopping. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas
