I really like gem stones as there are so many pretty colors to choose from. I like black obsidian snowflake the most. It is a black with little white snowflake shapes on it. I also really like fluorite a stone that can be shade of green or purple. Another stone I think is very attractive is lapis lazuil be stunning blue stone.
Do you like gem stones?
Do you own any gem stones?
Which is your favorite gem stone?

yeah thanks I hope so one day...i have only Rubies and dia with me now. coz it's my birthstone.
I wanna share few lines bout this Gems.
GEMSTONES--- they are " solid friends" an object of beauty that helps us through our goals. It heals and harmonize ourselves despite of bling-blings. However, they lose their potency and power when that have holes or " pierced through"

I like gem stones because they catch the light and I like all the different reflections and shimmers. I have a crystal in my window and I own a few very small diamonds.
My favourite stone is actually the sapphire but I have not been lucky enough to actually own one.
I also like stones which are not actually gems, but which have unusual colours or shapes, and if I find something unusual in the garden I tend to wash and polish it and keep it.

Yes, window crystals catch the light and give quite a magical looking affect. Sapphires are gorgeous, but like diamonds they are expensive. I hope that you will be given one in the future by someone as a present. Many thanks for your wonderful response.

I do like gemstones. I use them in my healing sessions. I use them to balance my chakras. I have quite a collection. It depends on the healing work that I am doing as to what gemstones I use.

I am not an expert in gem stones, nor a great fan, but i know which one i would like to buy if i could afford it lol. I want to buy a big beautiful emerald for one special person who doesn't like diamonds that much, but who loves emeralds. One day i will give her that stone :)

I do love gems and jewellery and own a good number of them matching them with my dresses and wear them accordingly. Rather i would say the without these add to the looks of the gold jewellery. I love the have diamonds as these are the ones which dont see a loss in value over the time.

Aren't there gem stones that coincide with the months of year you were born in? One for each of the twelve months. Some people are well into gem stones and will wear them according to what gem represents the month they were born. I love sapphires because they are so blue and alluring, but I was born in the month of May and I think don't quote me mine is Emerald, green is considered an unlucky colour by most so I can't see many people wearing emerald. I always used to joke with my first girlfriend that I would buy her a big sapphire, I was only ten at the time, don't think my pocket money would have reached it somehow!

Yes, there are twelve gem stones to coincide with the month you were born in. I was born in July so mine is moon stone or ruby. My favorite colors are blue and green. Yes, it is shame many people consider green to be unlucky. Emeralds look gorgeous. Sapphires could in some many different shades and are so very beautiful. It is funny to imagine you saving up at ten years old to buy your first girlfriend a big sapphire. Even a small one was probably more than your pocket money hey.

I love gemstones! I have quite a small collection of stones going on. I think I'm really pretty partial to quartz for some odd reason. I also like moonstone because it's a rather pretty stone. Snowflake obsidian is nice, and so is amethyst. I have way too many favorites to really say that I have just one favorite. I wouldn't mind trying to get some other stones whenever I get the chance.

Your collection of gem stones sounds lovely. Quartz comes in so many different colors and each looks quite beautiful. Yes, amethyst is a gorgeous stone as well. I am glad that you like snowflake obsidian too. I hope that you will manage to get many new stones in the future.

I actually do.
I love all the colours, not just my own. My wife's has the most wonderful colour, it's a lovely blue one. I used to collect them when I went on holiday but when the hippy fashion came back in they went a little retro for my liking but the stones alone are fine.

Wow! i love gem stones too! I havent seen that black obsidian snowflake that youre referring to. I guess that can only be found in UK huh? Oh i have seen that lapis lazuil! very beautiful! I only have topaz as i was born in november. One of your respondents, Bhubanesawarf is a actually a gemologist. Do you know that? I met him over tagged and we treat each other like cyberdad-daughter. He has nice gems of blue topaz (take note, it is blue and not the usual orange topaz that you see) and white sapphire (take note, sapphire is blue but his is white). he has so many rare stones, if you are interested, you might want to tap him and he can send the gems to you.

I love gem stones as you said there are many pretty colors to choose from and match different outfits. My favorite one is the amber given by one of my girl friends who knows I like gem. Another one is the green color jade given by my mother. Since the color of amber is light chocolate, which is much easy to match my outfits. And it is said that amber is good for health as well. LOL

I love gem stones, especially diamonds. My next favorites are aquamarine and sapphires. I don't have any loose stones though, all of mine are in a piece of jewelry. I have lots of jewelry from my husband.

I adore gemstones. From my traditional birthstone of Alexandrite to Emeralds, Moonstones and black Opals. Gemstones are beautiful because of the depth that they represent. The only precious stone that I find it difficult to include in that description and that is the Pearl. I'm not bashing the Pearl, by any means, but I just don't see a depth to this stone like I do with the others.

Saviour-V teleports in...
To answer your questions in a heartbeat:
1. Yes.
2. No, not yet.
3. Hmmm, emeralds, but those aren't the only stones I like.
Now to go into more detail.
There's something about gems that fascinates me for some reason. In fact, outside of whatever feng shui or mystical mumbo-jumbo, gems DO seem to have an inner energy to them, as evidenced when I visited the "Gems Of The World" exhibition in the Genting Highlands resort in Malaysia.
One of the pieces featured in one of the rooms there was an amethyst structure (that's my birth stone, by the way!). The room itself didn't have air-conditioning, but the stone was cool to the touch. Some say that the Romans would crush that into their drinks to avoid getting that nasty feeling the day after, if you catch my drift.
But there's one piece I yearn to obtain, and the very person who has it is quite elusive. It's a 3-tonne fluorite orb. Perfectly spherical, and the thing glows in the dark, too. That was the centerpiece of the entire exhibition, and I still find it ironic that the guy who brought it into the exhibition was wearing nothing but a vest, shorts, and flip-flops. Need to learn something from that wise-guy.
From that exhibition I learned that fluorites are often associated with healing, and I used to value emeralds more before I knew that. Of course, in my humble opinion, a fluorite sphere of that size would be invaluable to any organization. Just looking at it calmed me somewhat.
As for what I'd like to own apart from that orb? Probably a large ammonite shell, split in half so you could see the mineral formations. There's one in one of the shopping malls near my home town, and I'm wondering if I'll ever get to buy that particular piece.
Saviour-V pauses for breath again...
Heh, off-tangent again. But really, you should come round here to Malaysia when you get the chance. Maybe they might re-organize the exhibition with some bigger items than the ones I saw this year. Perhaps the guy might be lucky to find the other orbs in China and India.
Saviour-V grins, and teleports out...
