How many people get 50 or more responses to a discussion?

Cute monkey, is he family? I do not remember the most responses that I have gotten to any one topic. I have never really paid that too much attention. I can get a lot of responses if I do something that every one has in common or the fluff stuff. By that I mean, the things that have no meaning, it just looks good. I don't have anything against the fluff stuff. It is just that sometimes I am not in the mood for it. I do it sometimes and I respond to it even more. But, most of the ones that I do have to say something positive to the world. It hast to speak of who I am and how I view the world. You know, it hast to have some weight and depth to it. I know before I start it, that not everyone is going to respond to it. That is okay. As long as I am satisfied with the quality of responses that I recieve.

Me? the highest I ever got was 21 and it stopped there. I am so happy for you I hope that you will reach that 50 mark someday and even excel that.

I've gotten over 50 responses two times now. I think one of the 'secrets' to obtaining a lot of responses is to have a lot of friends on your friends list and of course have an interesting discussion to start with (something that everyone on mylot can relate to). With one of my discussions that generated more than 50 responses, I didn't have anywhere near as many friends as I do now, but people seemed to 'swarm' to it anyway. LOL I've seen some mylotters get 100 responses or more to one discussion. Amazing, isn't it? So far the most responses I have ever gotten was 73. Maybe I'll reach the 100 mark yet! ;)

Love the avatar sweety! I think the highest I ever had was about 105 responses but I don't know if there is a secret to it! I am not even sure what my average is although I know it isn't 50! Ask your Uncle Alfie - he'll know all about it! xxx

I'm lucky to ger 3 or 4 responses, I must be boring! I think you have to pick a controversial topic or something that is just a fun random item that no one has thought of before.

only for 1 discussion i have got 50 responses.. more preciously 53. but that too long ago. i rarely get many responses for my discussions.don't know the reason, may be i do not rule here.

well this one is at 45 and will be at 46 after me! But there have been very few of my discussions that have been that many. Ususally not even close to 50!! There have been a few that have made people angry and a LOT of them responded, but then your rank goes down. lol. It's hard to appeal to many many people.

50 responses, you got to be kidding. Luckily, I get 5 to 10 responses in my conversations, hahaha. Anyway, I see you're getting close to 50 in this one, and I decided I would help. (no offense, I liked the puppy better) =)

Oh yes, there was a time when I always had as many responses as 50 or 75 or even more. A few months back I stopped posting discussions as I could'nt devote so much time to attend all the responses, and now I'm back to posting. But now there a big drop in the number of responses I'm getting, either people have forgotten me or they are inactive. I too see that now there are not many people working actually, many have switched over to yuwie and some have disappeared without a clue. Getting over one hundred is a dream now, to say the least. My best must be around 220, I guess.

As good learning is through practice, I could not figure out to you the best ‘method of statements’ for how to get better figure in getting huge figure of responses. But there will be somebody, who afford and able to give you right tips to reach above than 50 responses. And I believe, there are many of them in mylot. As I saw and observe, previously, was I_LUV_U. There is poor response to the discussions statred by me. I don't know why? May be due to not selecting facinated subject for discussion.

Are you talking individual members, or the number of comments as a whole? I know that some of mine I started a long time ago now are still getting responses, but I've lost track on how many.

the most responses i ever got was about..... 85. i was aiming for 100 but i still got close. i can't really remember what the topic was about but you could see for yourself on my profile. i wonder what the record here on mylot is for the most responses to a discussion.

i have yet to receive 50 responses to any of the posts i have put up. i have put up alot of posts and have yet to get over maybe 5 responses. i hate it.

50 responses, not even close. I usually get 1-3 responses at best.

Probably if I get even 10 replies I will get up and do a little dance around the room. So far my "best" has been 45 although, like you, sometimes there will be 8 or 10 interactions within a single reply. Those are fun! One discussion I've seen had 5 pages of one-liner type responses. It was one of those Do-you-know questions and every single answer was along the lines of No-I-Don't-Know. It was rather surprising that staff left it up. A really fun discussion is better in my view than one with hundreds of replies, but wouldn't it be fun to have both!

What was the topic that you had 30ish responses to???

Maximum I have got is 8.I have seen more than 80 but i doubt if i ever reach that. Adding friends is crucial it seems, but that would work only if the friends reply to your posts.Many high posters add friends randomly to get replies, and they dont reply to their friends topics, since they got too many friends...
