How often do you have a lie in?

How often do you have a lie in? I don't get many chances to have one, I love my sleep just as much as I love doing things throught the day but from time to time I do wish I could have a little longer. It's very rare for me to find the time to remain there... I love sleep to much but lie in's aren't easy to have. (especially in an active life) ~Joey How often do you have one?

Wow: I never heard of it referred to this way..but we call it "sleeping in" ..Just a difference of location:) I very rarely get to sleep in. Even on my days off, I don't sleep in.. I am hoping for a time when I can take a break and sleep in and really sleep s long as I want to.

You and me both :) I used to have one fairly often while I was student/first started working but seems I'm wanting to get up more than anything and sometimes where I was lazy and just went back off.. I just don't now =) Thanks littlefranciscan ~Joey

I have never been one to sleep in or as you say have a lie in. I usually wake up at 7-730 every morning unless I have been up particularly late, then I will sleep later but I am not one to lay around if I am awake. I much prefer playing on the computer or just having fun

I am not sure what the reason is except perhaps many many years of having to get up to go to work and my body adjusting to that, and here is another weird thing I seldom use an alarm clock I just think I want to wake up at 6 am and I do and it is alway with In 3-4 minutes of that time, again I have been like this for all of my life and because I don't completely trust it, I will set my alarm if it is extremely important that I be up, but again I wake up before the alarm goes off, Now that one I will never be able to explain,Hope I was able to answer your question

no actually I don't know how to tell time with out a clock as in if some one were to ask me the time right now I would have to look at a clock and say 8:48 am but for some reason I can say to myself I want to wake up at 7:30 I will as well it works for naps I will tell myself I want to wake up in 1 and a half hours and I do. as I said it is difficult to explain but I am almost anal about the time I live in a small 1 bedroom condo and I believe I have a minimum of 10 devices that tell time and in my house they must all read the same time. I go crazy when i walk past a clock or watch display and they all tell different times, lol and a power failure or time change keeps me occupied for a while I do own an atomic clock that is one of those that self adjust to the proper time and I use it for a guide. The things we do to ourselves must make others wonder

I try to lie in (though we call it sleep in here) as often as possible. However, I have a 17 month old son who determines what time we have to get up. Sometimes I get up long before he does. Other times I find myself waking up with him at 7 or 8 in the morning. Every now and again he sleeps till 10 (I love those days if I don't get up really early!)

I think your referring to a nap or sleeping late in the morning? You British and your words!! :) Anyway, wish I could say I could have one but usually it only happens once a year when I'm sick or on vacation- (I think you all call this a "holiday"). :) Take care!

Not often enough. Life keeps getting in the way. lol I wish I could do it at least a couple times a year. I'm sure my insomnia doesn't help the matter.

We call it "sleep in" (in the USA). I got to "sleep in today" well I did wake up early but refused to get up. Just laying there warm and comfy felt good. We have been having a snow storm and I knew I wasn't going anyplace, not even church this morning. I have some cats that like to wake me up early. They wake me up when they figure it its time to get up. I do try to ignore them, sometimes it is tough.

Every Saturday and Sunday I promise myself a lie in, but it's funny, when you know you can sleep in you wake up early and when you know you have to get up, all you want to do is lie in! I like to get 9 hours sleep so I can really function, although I am not a morning person! It takes a very strong cup of coffee to start my brain into first gear! I am more alert at night. I love my sleep too, if I don't get enough I am like a wolf with a very sore head and I become grouchy too!

I try to sleep in every Saturday and Sunday, which really isn't even that late. I stay up late on the weekends so in the end it's still only 8 or 9 hours of sleep, but it's more than I would get on a regular work day. I think it's important to sleep in as long as you don't over do it. Sleeping in just a few days a week really makes me feel refreshed. Plus, I love my sleep just like you do! I think being in a comfy bed under warm blankets having a relaxing dream is just the best!!

I seldom over sleep and really don't care to sleep the day away. But it might be something I will do in the future. If this is something you would enjoy, you should plan to do it a few times a year, at least. I don't think there is anything wrong with sleeping or staying in bed for a whole day.

Oh i miss sleeping in. lol. After i had my daughter i haven't gotten much chance to sleep in. She wakes up before hubby comes home from work! so sometimes on the weekend when he's home he will be up and take her so i can have a little bit more sleep, but we live in a small space and i'm a light sleeper, so usually i can hear here and dont get much sleep. And since i'm pregnant again, It will be a long long time till i get to sleep in. but its all worth it :)

its very rare i have any time to sleep in. im either at university or meeting william. so i dont really get chance. the only real time i can have abit of a lie in is when me and william sleep at each others houses. as it means we dont have to get up early to meet each other, and obviously im not at university. i do think that a lie in is good for the odd days. esspecially on these freezing cold mornings, when all you want to do is stay in your warm and cozy bed.

Well, if there is nothing urgent, why not? If you have something to do, then "too bad", you just gotta get up. Otherwise, sleep as long as you want.:P

I lie down whenever I get a chance, really. You are right it is hard sometimes to get some lie in. If I don't get it during the day, I wait until bedtime.
