I Really Made a MyLot Blunder, I Need Help and Perhaps Even Chastised

Please friends and MyLot watchers, accept my apology for my ridiculous mistake. Worse than the mistake, please accept my apology for the amount of time it took me to catch it! I will preface what I did with a bit of another story. After joining MyLot when I would come to read and comment or to post, I would notice the banner ads on the top of the screen. Oh, this is so embarrassing! I am pretty grey now but have never been blonde. I looked at the ads and thought, "How cool is this, most of the ads are things that I am really interested in". It took me about 3-4 months to realize that all of the rest of the MyLot members were not seeing the same ads that I am. They were seeing ads tailor made to their interests. Oh, the shame of it! That now brings me up to date. I have been very ill and have not been able to be at the computer for any length of time for several days. I was here one day and had over 500 emails in my inbox. Most of them were junk and I thought that if I cleared them out it was going to take precious computer time away from me, but then again, it would make it so much easier to really pay attention and respond to emails on a daily basis again. I went on a deleting frenzy. I was also sending all of the solicitations for me to please cash a cheque for someone who had inherited a huge amount of money (I get at least 3 of them daily), and the ones that ask me if I want to watch them perform for me - I was sending these to Yahoo as Spam.
To make a long story even longer for the past several days I have not had one single notice from any of MyLot friends in my email. I knew that the last time I was here a few people were asking where everyone was, but I thought it kind of strange. That is until today in the midst of my "woman" exam at the doctor's office. During that time, I tend to go to my happy place. While in my happy place I finally realized that the reason I was getting no notices was probably because I had sent a MyLot notice to Spam.
Does anyone know how I can get my friends back in my email again? Please tell me if you do. Please tell me that you forgive me for doing this MyLot. It was a total accident and will never happen again.
LordWarWizard, if you are reading this, please tell me that you think I deserve a second chance.~D

Awe, it was an honest mistake it really was. I am sure that no one is angry with you...I definitely am not, but then I understand.
The only thing that I can think of is to go to your friend's list and see if "notify" is on. If it is and you are not getting any notifications then you can go into your "spam" folder at Yahoo and make sure that they are not going in there. If they are then you can always mark them "not spam" and they should go back to your inbox. If that doesn't fix it then I really don't know what to tell you. I stopped getting notifications a long time ago, but that was only because I made it that way. I am here every day so I am always on the look out for my friend's discussions.

returning them as not spam does not always clear this mess up. Have to add discussion@myLot.com as an email address in the address book.

Go to your address book and add discussion@myLot.com
That should clear this mess up.

I have been wondering where you have been, but I have only had a few minutes here and there to be online and haven't had the time to check on you. I am sorry to hear that you were sick and happy to hear that you are back. I got this in my email, thats how I am answering it. So you must have not messed up that much. I do believe that you are stuck with your mylot friends. There are a few of us that have made a connection with each other. As for second chances, I think you deserve one, or two, three or four, or how many you want. Take care, I hope things are going better for you.

Just quit waving that coffee around in front of me today you old bat, else I will have to barf all over the screen at you!This has been a horrid year for me as far as illness goes; but since it's going out with such a danged bang perhaps the new year will come in more gently (holy crow, that was too much like a bushism for my taste!)

lol..I have a few of myLot notices coming into my Ibox and a few of them going to my Spam Mail and I have no clue why. Either all of them should go to the inbox or all of them should go to the spam box. Anyways, now I have to sort through my junk mail too to make sure that I don't miss any of my friends' myLot discussions.
Well, mistakes happen and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out with this one? Do you have another e-mail that the notices could be sent to?

That's okay..it was genuine mistake! Till you clear things out, you might just want to take the trouble of checking your regular friends for their new discussions. I'm sure everyone understands.
Hope things are sorted out pretty soon.
As soon as you delete spam it usually goes to the Trash folder...so if you realize soon enough, you can still retrieve some of the stuff you want. There will be an option to unblock an address from the junk mail folder. Try finding it.

Hi, Little Sister Slick, I know you would forgive just about anyone for anything. I love the new pic; but I always love each new one you post. Don't worry about it too much, Kitchenwitchoftupper. I am sure a lot of people made the same mistake before. I don't think it is a big deal. And I forgive even though it doesn't bother me at all.

Meditation!!!!! I first tell the doctor to NOT talk to me. It is NOT necessary for her to tell me every little detail of what is going to happen. I already know. I then just focus on my breathing and picture that happy land. Does it work - heck no!~Donna
