Okay I can't seem to find my Christmas tree this season. It seems to have been stolen this season. How could someone do this to me? Why would anyone at all steal a Christmas Tree? Well, it's not really gone but....It's usually up by Thanksgiving Day each year. My wife & daughter are the ones who usually put the tree up. But with dads walking being very hard going & with my wife having to travel to Michigan etc it seems they stole the tree & have yet to return it to set it up. So it seems this year there will be no tree. Oh well. Are you NOT having a tree this season? If so why not? Please share. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Amazing Grandpa Gob from what I can gather you have all had a lot to contend with this year - no wonder you have no tree up! Our tree has only been up about 5 days - which is way behind schedule in our house - in fact the outside lights have only been up and on for 3 nights! I think the kids would object vociferously if we went a year without a tree - the only way I could see that happening is if they got so many decorations and ornaments that we couldn't fit a tree in! xxx

I asked not to have a Christmas tree this year but there was no having it. Even my Jewish born husband/boyfriend wanted the tree and outside lights. I just wasn't feeling 'Christmasy' this year. I am much better now, but not like my usual 'jolly elf' self. (hugs)

It wasn't me! lol. I will share my tree with you so you don't have to go without one this year. How you like my red teddy bear I put on top of my tree? I couldn't find the right tree topper so I made my own. lol.

I don't have a christmas tree. I just moved into my own home and we haven't got one. Do you usually have a artificial tree, or do you get a real one? I've heard that the problems with real ones are that they shed a lot. Over here, some large shopping centres and hotels buy huge real christmas trees. I guess they have no problems clearing up the needles. And these trees are placed in air-conditioned comfort so they don't have to suffer our humid rainy climate outside.

I have an artificial tree we use yearly. Haven't put it up mainly due to dads wobbly walking and him using a walker. Not a lot of room for him and a tree. Maybe get rid of dad? HAHAHAHA! Im joking. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Funny but others have told me that real trees shed alot as well but yet we used to have one every Christmas and then never shed, not even one needle. Yet, now that we have an artificial tree, constant shedding. Just putting the tree up this year caused a huge mess that I had to vacuum up several times already. Think next year we will go back to the real trees. I'm tired of the mess!!!

We put a tree up this year. If it was up to me I wouldn't put one up because I watch kids in my home and they are always trying to mess with it. But my husband said we had to put one up for my son so we did. My son loves it but he keeps taking ornaments off of it and he has already unwrapped three gifts that are under the tree and they weren't even his. LOL

When we had a cat she would always climb our real trees to the top shaking off the ornaments but we dealt with it. Kids and a tree are always a nuisance at times. But still fun to watch them. Once again it depends on each individual kid too. Yikes unwrapping others gifts? Next year wait till Christmas Eve to set the gifts under the tree I'd say. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I am very late in responding to many notifications & especially my friends discussions, for which I apologise. Our Christmas tree was put up in late November. This is bout the usual time for us. It is an artificial tree, 2 metres in height with a mish mash collection of ornaments. I can perfectly understand you have way too much on your mind for not putting up your Christmas tree.

we never use real tree. always artificial, it's cheaper and easier to set up, only a small tree. I don't think we can afford new christmas tree every year, so artificial will do. we will set it up where my cat can't go, in my shop. or else she will ruin it and then hurt herself. she is getting bigger so if she ever attacks the tree she'll surely bring it down entirely, with the lights

I loved the aroma of a real tree. The needle clean up was never a problem as long as it stayed watered fully either. But for this year my little 12 inch tree is sufficient. cATS ARE FUNNY WITH TREES. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I bought a 3' table top tree last year after Christmas to replace the 6' one that went to tree heaven. We wanted a tree but not so big a one being our living room is kinda small with all the furniture. Our cats seem to enjoy it more than we do thou. I gave up turning the lights on it cause they just unplug them anyways.

I got our 6 foot artificial from a garage sale many years ago and love it. My cat from years ago climbed our real tree hiding in the top of it. Then she'd also rip all the bows off packages running around the house playing with them. I'd find bows in every room of the house with her. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB

I have a very tiny little tree on a table in the living room. I am not putting up the big tree because we just aren't in the Christmas mood without my husband not being here. Not to mention we are traveling to visit my parents for the holidays so it's kind of pointless to put up a big to do and not be here to enjoy it for almost two weeks. Next year when the hubby is home and we are not getting ready to move or anything we will have a big christmas!

I also have a small one foot tree with lights and ornaments sitting on my coffee table by my window. So that's our tree this year it seems. It usually sits in the dining room most years. When my mom passed away it was very hard for me to set up a tree because she loved coming to visit to see the tree and lights outide I put up. I did it for her mostly. So after one year with no tree I decided it was time to decoarate a real tree in memory of mom. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I am not setting a tree up this year for the very first time ever. We are leaving either Thursday or Friday to go to Mississippi for the holidays. My daughter is of the age where she would be into it constantly. My husband isn't much of a "Christmas person" so he doesn't care. My parents house will be all decked out with Christmas decor, so it will be fine. Plus, I won't have to take it all down when I get home this year. I did FINALLY start wrapping presents though! haha

Maybe the thief gets all his/her Christmas shopping done in this fashion. Bummer for you, better luck next year I guess. I guess it goes to show that certain people will take anything from anybody. Hopefully that persons gets caught for something soon and thrown away behind some bars.

Last year I didn't put a tree up. It was a very bad year and I just wasn't in the mood to decorate. But this year, I promised myself that the tree would go up and it did.

Well at least you have a small one. We had a 'real' tree last year. We cut down two scrub pines that my daughter picked out and tied them together. It was a Charlie Brown tree at best. But she picked them and they were spectacular! Christmas is about love and family. I think you have enough love in your family and home that you can do without a tree and still be happy. Merry Christmas Grandpa Bob, i have missed you, but I think I am back this time for a real effort to stay around. Hope to be seeing you around!!!

This year we have a tree, my son is in the Navy and he is home for Christmas, first one since 2004. Last year we got an inflatable penguin and used that instead. Now a lot of Christmas spirit when he was not here. He flew in yesterday, due to the weather over the weekend, he flew in in uniform knowing that if there were delays or cancellations they would try harder to get him another flight. But he flew US Air and there were no delays, they saw his uniform, took away his boarding pass and issued him a first class one - their standard procedure for military traveling in uniform is to upgrade to first class if a seat is available. This was his first Christmas gift, he is 6' 2 1/2" and still growing and weights in around 240, so regular seats are a tight squeeze for him. Thanks US Air.

Nope, I didn't put up a Christmas tree either this year. I haven't done so for several years in fact. Sometimes I will put up a itty bitty one on the entertainment center, but I didn't even do that this year. I did put up a nativity that I was given this year for a Christmas gift. I did have my cousin that lives next door to me, ask if I wanted his Christmas eve, since he had already celebrated Christmas with his boys. And I thanked him for the thought, but since I also clean his house, I didn't want to have to clean the tree mess up from both his house and mine!!!!

Nope they won't be putting it up. Im positive of that. The wife has had a hectic month and doesn't feel like it and my daughter has one more visit here before then and she won't either. I'm content with it as it is this year I guess. Thanks and Seasons Greetings to you and yours also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
