Ok, it's time to come clean. How many coats of mascara do you apply to your lashes? One, two, three? more?
Do you find it necessary to apply so many coats or just like to?
I usually apply only one coat for work, but will go with two coats for a thicker and fuller look when we go out on the weekends. It just makes my eyes more noticeable. I've never been one to apply multiple coats...it just gets messy and clumps. And that doesn't look nice at all.

I hardly ever wear makeup except for special ocassions like going out to dinner which is hardly ever. When I do wear it, I wear two coats. The first one is to get the crap on there and the second one is to straighten the crap out. LOL

I hardly wear mascara except important occasions, for example, friend's birthday party, wedding party or some special dinner, etc. Even in these special occasions, I only apply one coat to my lashes. LOL

O.K., I'll come clean. I use 0 coats. But, when I was younger, working all the time and lots of makeup was a good thing, I applied multiple coats. The trick to no clumping was to make sure I had new Mascara on hand. The older it got, the CLUMPIER! YUK!

I only use one coat, but I only wear mascara on Sunday mornings when I go to church. Sometimes I don't even wear it then, but when our families get together for Christmas, that might be a time when I wear it. But I only ever do the top lashes, not the bottom. I never could get the hang of that.

When I wear make-up I just apply it till the lashes are my desired length, fullness and color that I want to achieve. A little trick I learned when I was a beauty advisor was you should NEVER pump the mascara wand in and out of the tube. It draws air inside and can dry your mascara out quicker causing clumps. Also since our eyelids/eyelashes are an which can get oily if you dust some powder onto your eyes first and then apply your mascara, it helps it from flaking or smearing.
To this date my favorite mascara is still Covergirl Lashblast. The brush is huge so it gets all the lashes at once, it doesn't smear or flake off either. The huge orange tube will defininetly catch your attention if you're looking for a new mascara. O' and waterproof can be more drying than the original...that goes with any mascara.
I've got make-up tips crawling outa my ears.

I agree, it gets messy. My goal is usually 2 swipes up and 2 swipes down. If you do too much it ruins the look. I also use clear mascara so I can handle 2-3 coats without it getting messy, however sometimes if I do too much the lashes start to stick together instead of spread. I have a lash comb somewhere that I can use to separate them after I use mascara instead of continuing to use the mascara brush. That helps too :)

I dont wear any make up at all. I dont really care that much about how i look lol. I just shove on my clothes, brush my hair and teeth, give my face a quick wipe, and i'm REAdy to go. That's if i had a shower the night before of course. I dont wear makeup but i do shower regularly. lol.

Sadly, I never got the hang of mascara. I love it when on rare occasions I get another woman to do it for me but when I try to do it myself just one coat gets all clumpy. I've tried all the tricks in magazines and what not and experimented with different brands but it's me, not the mascara that's a problem...

I normally use just one coat - I don't like that clumpy look either!

I do not wear make up very often any more and I would use one coat of mascara.

When I wear mascara I normally only use one coat, but I hardly use mascara, I don't find it necessary.
