What is more fun?

Presents - Christmas is just around the corner and present time is close. I love presents:)

Giving or receiving gifts? I agree that receiving a present is really nice, but I always enjoyed the giving part more. It's such fun to choose the right thing for the right person, wrap it in pretty paper and then see their faces as they open the gifts:):):) I usually find just the perfect thing for each person and I haven't been wrong many times. Of course I get excited opening my own presents - although lately there hasn't been much of a chance for super special presents - but the special thing for me is to see when people open the presents I got them. What about you, what is more fun for you - giving or receiving?

I love giving gifts way better than receiving them myself. Even if I don't get a gift from the person I'm giving it to or if I don't get gifts for certain things I still love makinng people happy with a completley unexpected gift, I don't ever expect anything in return and I don't care about that at all. I love giving and making others happy.

Yes, you're right. There is this idea that people sometimes give something to receive something back, but I don't think that it's the right idea at all.

I don't like receiving gifts.Giving is the most fun part.Seeing the looks on others faces when they're surpriced and happy with what they have received. It's always hard to find something for the person but i think it's good to take timeto look for presents and i love to giv from the heart those are the best gifts.

I LOVE giving presents...It is the best feeling. I only wish I was a millionaire...but I wouldn't be for long..I would give to so many charities.. I would love to be able to surprise a family in need with all the gifts they would like...It would make me very happy...I love the gifts I receive...but on Christmas I don't open anything until I've seen everyone open their gifts...it is my favorite part!!!

Hi arkaf61, I agree that it's more fun to give, but it's always nice to be remembered too, to know that you haven't been forgotten. Blessings.

SUre it is nice to receive gifts too. I certainly enjoy that part too. More than the gift itself, just knowing that we were remembered.

I wish I am near your place to receive one. It is really worthwhile giving presents than receiving, though every receipient is happy with the gifts one receives. There is a saying in our religion that more you give more you get. But my philosophy is not go give more in order to get double or treble that quantity/amount I give. Giving shuld be way of life. I really appreciate your feeling that you get happiness when someone opens your present. Thanks and have a nice day.

You certainly would :) I always find something. It might be something inexpensive ,something I made but I always find something :) I know what you mean about giving something to receive something. That's not the real idea for me. I give because I enjoy giving. Sure receiving is great but giving a gift should never be conditional - on the fact that we will receive something back. Have a great wednesday, my friend

I also agree that giving gifts is more fun than receiving gifts. It is nice to receive gifts, but when we give the gifts to others we can see a smile and happiness in the face of the person who receive it. We get happiness and joy when we see the smile and happiness in the face of other person. It is nice to see the "Thank you" in the face of the people we love when they receive gift from us. Christmas is coming. It is time to receive and give lots of gifts. I think Christmas is one of the happiest time in my life. I think everyone loves Christmas.

I have to say giving is more fun for me. I love going to the stores and searching the items to find just the right thing. I always buy something for the person that they would not buy for them self. Before I even buy the gift I am paying attention to remarks that the person makes about different things that they have thought about buying them self but just don't have the money right now. I think it is pretty neat to have them open their gift and the look on their face says that they love their gift.

Yes, giving is a whole process that starts when we first think about getting the gift. It's a wonderful feeling :)

It's so true for me too:) I do know a few people that don't care much about giving, are more interested in receiving but I think giving ends up being more fun = as a rule :)

Definitely giving gifts. Receiving gifts are nice. But i think it feels so much better to give. Especially when you are giving to children. Its great to see the look of excitement on their face.

Giving them. Receiving them is okay too and I do treasure it. Giving gifts really warms me up much more than receiving. In fact, the feeling also feels different than getting a gift: seeing them get it, reactions to the gift shape/weight, the expectation, reactions to seeing it...all of that combined and its like a high. This is probably the most illogical post I've ever had...but either way this is how it is for me.

It might be illogical but it makes perfect sense to me :) I know exactly what you're saying when you talk about the different feelings we get from giving or receiving. ANd I certainly know what you mean when you say that seeing the person opening it, how they react, all those things bring us such a tingle :) thanks for answering.
19 Dec 07
giving definitely...it's a license to spend without torturing yourself with guilt, and I love to show how much I actually pay attention to people and their personality.

I really enjoy giving presents as well. I love it when I get unpredictable gifts, though. Unusual ones are really fun. I like my presents to others to be unique gifts, that they did not even realize they wanted, until they got them. I hope you and your family have a really special Christmas.

Of course giving gifts is more fun than receiving,I love to share the happiness when them receiving the gifts. But for my economic fact, the chance which I receive the gifts is more than I give gifts, and then I will give them more happiness
