Desperately Seeking....

I really wish that I could edit my posts too! I HATE when I make a typo and don't catch it until after I've hit the "post response" button! It is like a little red flag taunting me from the screen! And I would LOVE to be able to go back and delete old stuff. I have a discussion or two that have no responses and want to be able to delete them so much! They're a waste of space! I like keeping my best responses though. They're like a little badge of a job well done for me. I do hate seeing a post that really interests me show up and when I open it to respond to it I find that it's like a year old. I think this site would be so much easier to navigate and participate in if we could delete old things and clean out the proverbial closets, as it were.

I think that would be a great idea. They atleast need to have an "ADD COMMENT" box under the disscussions that you post. That way if you forgot to say something, or similar you could add to it to make it more understandable. Also I have one post that has NO replies so I can't choose BR and it's just stuck there...it drives me BONKERS!! LOL

yes you are right. i support you here. i also like to have edit and delete buton here in mylot. I trhink those can make the place more flexible as I can delete some discussion of my own that i don't want to.

i agree wolfie. it would be of good use to have an edit and delete button to get rid of our typo errors. it would help so much. hopefully mylot admin will introduce one in the near future if there is so much of a high demand

OH definitely YES! I can remember many times where I had frantically thought "if only" and "shy can't they give us an edit button"! I have made many mistakes and you are so right it is so frustrating and irritating to see your typos every time you look at a post you started! Hugs xxx

I agree about the edit button, it would be good way to make us solve the typos.I have too many of them LOL.But i am not sure if it could also be used with malicious intention.I think the delete shouldnt be there, unless only for the unresolved discussions, and only after months.It would probably cause problems in earning calculations and rating system if used to just any discussion.

I am with you Wolfie.I respond to a discussion at once and commit a lot of typos still.I just don't like them and very much like to edit them.

I"m so with you on this one !!!!!!! :) I"m sure it wouldn't be that complicated to get it and it would make everyone's life so much easier. I often find my mistakes or the things I wanted to say differently after I post, and by then it is too late to rectify. I would surely prefer an edit button than a preview response button, I never preview - if I did I would find those mistakes LOL

I agree with you completely.... went to be nice if we could just edit something.... I can't tell you how many times I've looked at something that I've written and thought ' my gosh I sound like an idiot'.... sometimes it's just a matter of me doing two things at one time.... and doing either very well.... That sounds like a great idea, wolfie, and I don't know why they have not thought of this. I tried to send them a message last night about a change I would like to see instituted here at MyLot, but I don't think it went through because I'm still having problems with my computer since adding the Norton Security.

I agree. I, like MANY others have made that request to MyLot. Here is what I asked for. A way to edit your discussions and or responses. A way to respond to your own discussion. Then any of your responses would go to the first page. I also asked for a way to group or send to more than one friend at a time. The last thing I asked for was a way to subscribe to a particular thread so that if anyone edits/responds/replies to the discussion you would be notified. This would be something where you can toggle it on or off per discussion.

I agree, both functions would be nice. I would also like the ability to respond to everyone in a discussion at once. Sometimes they ask the same question over and over again, and sometimes I have something new or more to say. Either way, it would be nice to have a few more options to make myLot an even better place to be!

I agree. This is something that's sorely needed.

MyLot simply can't grow to be a big-mega-über-huge-everything-by-everyone-and-more-forum without these features. They have to understand that, or stay as a small forum happily ever after. So I guess my vote is YES.
