Has anyone ever heard of a neti pot? Has anyone ever used one if so does it really work. One of my friends told me that pouring warm water from the neti pot into your nose, you can stimulate your sinuses and help clear out mucus. If the fluid builds up in your sinuses. Does this really work?
I have been having a lot of sinus problems and would like to buy a neti pot, but I dont want to get one if it dont work.

I saw it in Oprah too! I think I would end up sucking in when I was doing it and drowning.

That is what I thought too when I first saw them but the way she had to tilt her head sideways it looked ok and it ran through like a waterfall didn't it? Dr.Oz said the warm water and the salt keep it from giving you that drowning feeling.
It seems like the reflex would be to blow it out and not suck it in maybe? I have no idea. :)

I have not used one but on Oprah this week Dr.Oz had one and a woman out of the audience come on stage and tried it out. She said it felt really good. It was so weird how it worked. A lady in the audience said she used to use one and it worked for her. Dr. Oz did say to make sure hte water is warm and to add a little salt to the water. This sounds like something my son needs since he has sinus problems.

Hi Babystar,
Wow, I never have heard of such a thing and I am not really sure if I want to try that treatment. It might work but I am not that motivated enough to try it out. LOL.
Thanks for mentioning it, though. I might give it a try sometimes.
