That's a great tip to cook the meat the day before to save time on the big Christmas day itself. :-) Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas!

thankfully i won't have to cook!
my family will be going out for a meal at a restaurant.
i guess the usual suspects for a home cooked meal will be chestnuts stuffed into a turkey, roasted honey baked ham, and some parsnips which are winter vegetables.
hope you get some good ideas from the thread! and pumpkin mash is always nice too!

I'm not such a good cook I have got better with time, but I do like cooking and prefer to cook stir fry's and I am very good at baking also. I am baking a cake for tomorrow lunch because I am good at making sponge cake it is my specialist cooking. I am good at currys also but, I won't be making a curry tomorrow. My mum is cooking a turkey. We always go to my mums for Christmas dinner it's a tradition. We will be having lots of other desserts, but I am making my famous sponge cake. Hope you have a good Christmas.

My dad and I will be doing the cooking together this year. This has actually become one of my favorite parts of the holidays. I usually hate cooking, but when it is my dad and I together in the kitchen it becomes something I enjoy. I think it is just memories of a little girl helping her daddy that come back. Okay, so I'm strange. What can I say?
Anyway, we always have ham in the crock pot to make sandwhiches on Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, though, I am looking forward to mashed pototoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and some kind of meat. I don't think we've decided yet. I'm thinking maybe roast beef.

Nice of you to point out that it is also the process of cooking that we should enjoy as well, not just the eating. :-) Hope you have an enjoyable day. Merry Christmas!
