I am curious as to how often you ladies out there have your monthly. I know that you are supossed to have it every month. I used to have mine as a teenager like maybe once every 3 months. When I had my second daughter it actually regulated to once a month. Well when she turned 2 it started messing up again. Now I have been period free since last November. I know, I know, I should go to the doctor, but I have not been in a long time. Just to the E.R. But as far as health, I have anxiety, but no other health symptoms, that is why I do not go.I am 24 so I do not think that it is "the change of life" Does anyone else have this happen to them?

It can happen for other reasons than "the change." It could be stress. You may be drinking very little water and you could actually be having it but its too minimal to notice. It could be poor nutrition such as a severe iron deficiency. You could have cysts. You could be pregnant or be having a false pregnancy. There are many reasons. I definitely would consider going to your gynecologist.

If its under your arm it may be a clogged sweat gland, but it could also be a cyst/problem with your lymph node. If it is your lymph node - that could screw up your hormones most definitely and even if its benign, you need to be checked and possibly have fluid drawn and labs done or a scan.

Now that is odd that you mention a lymph node. Back last year around the time I stopped having periods and the time when the thing under my arm came up, I had a swollen lymph node in my neck under my jaw. I went insane, because I had never had this happen to me before. Come to find out it was swollen due to infection. I had a salava gland that was infected because I was trying to pass a calcium stone? I dunno, that is what the e.r. said. Never heard of this before. But there was this little piece of white thing sticking out of the inside of my cheek. I posted on here asking if anyone knew what this was, and a few people told me a jaw bone splinter. But it was just calcium trying to come out of my body. But let me tell you I think that all of these things were related. First my lymph node swelled, then I noticed the thing inside of my cheek coming out, then the thing under my arm swelled, then no periods, in the middle of all of this I caught pneumonia for 3 weeks, I also had bad chest pains, the doctor told me this was from smoking though. it was aweful. That is when my anxiety kicked in really bad. But in my head I thought all these things were connected and that they were all symptoms of a crazy disease that I had caught. Lol. I know call me crazy. So, there that is the whole story of the past year........Do you think this is connected in someway?

everything in the body is connected. you have your major lymph nodes in your neck, under your arm pits, the groin, behind the sternum, below the rib cage, and i think something else in the thighs. Not always but I have read that many times rock hard nodes usually means cancer, soft means infection, firm but rubbery could be lymphoma. It is normal however for them to be swollen when you are fighting an infection regardless. So it could be a sign you are still fighting something in your body.

the only time this ever happened to me is about 6 months after i had my daughter. i went to my gyn. and he discovered that i had a hormone imbalance. they had to put me on meds to get it regulated. he said if i had waited much longer i would have had an overy burst. they were getting backed up because i couldn't let my eggs out. i would get to my gyn. if i were you. there could be severe underlieing problems

some of my cousins have problems like that, i think it is hereditary for their mom's cycle is irregular too. their doctor advised them to drink birth control pills so that their monthly menstruation will be regular but i dont know how long would they drink it to keep it regular.

Yep. I have never had a regular period (I too am 24). Even when on birth control I would miss periods or have them at odd times. I have been diagnosed with endrometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome. I have a lot of cramps and sometimes a lot of pain. I haven't had a period since early August (not quite as long as you, but getting on there). If you want to have more babies, you should probably go to the doctor. Not saying that you can't get pregnant, but if it is something you want...it is a good idea to get it checked out and dealt with if you need to deal with it.
