Hi - if you hear audio in your PC in other program or music then it is not your computer problem. When you watch video in youtube or other sites you will check video menu that audio is on or off ? Test it or send me link which video you watch that have audio but you cannot hear, then I could solve detailed way watching it. U can send link here or to my email address nur55@37.com

hi edigital. ^__^
i really don't understand what's the problem. when i open my windows media player, i can hear the music very clearly. but when i'm watching in youtube or in any other video streaming sites, i can't hear the audio. i have put the audio in its maximum level but i still can't hear a thing.
this was one of what i was watching a while ago:

i did everything you said and i found that they were all in their proper settings. but hey, everything's okay now. ^__^ i think it was because i just downloaded the plug-in i needed and i should have first closed all my windows for the plug-in to take effect. ^__^;;
thanks anyway. i can watch all night now. LOL

Ur problem is solved :) hehe.. sometimes it's due to the busy traffic of the particular website and thus got no sound at the moment as it can download everything properly for viewing and hearing.. But now u have downloaded the proper audio tools, then it's ok ^_^

i think there may be some problem with your sound card in PC. Check if u can hear sounds with other audio or video files that are not online. if it is ok, then there must be some problrem in the file itself.
Else the sound card should be changed.

that's the problem i wouldn't want to happen! it would be a hassle if i needed to change my sound card. .

Mine keeps acting up like this too. I discovered that the volume control down in the tray next to the clock keeps mysteriously switching itself to mute. I have to keep un-muting it. I have no idea what would cause this to happen though but it's one place you can look to try to solve your problem.

your audio driver might not be working or maybe accidently deleted...first though make sure you didn't unplug speakers, turn down volume on the control panel, etc.
try running windows update first and then restart...
if that doesn't work, go to your help section on your computer and do the troubleshooter...it will walk you through the steps of what you need to do to get it working again!
i had it happen on a laptop of mine once before and it was very frustrating. Good luck!!

Well secretbear,
most of these sites use the flash plugin to work, so the best try is to update your flash plugin players to the latest version.
Then check the settings of the plugin, your browser and even of your computer to see if there is an activated mute somewhere...

It could have been a computer setting. Maybe internet was blocking audio. Or it could have been something simpler (like having flash or videos on mute).
