they are not.My Grand-Mother passed away this morning at 2:30 am..Not from sickness, just from being tired and finally sat in the hospital bed and said "I'm tired"and with a smile closed her eyes and left us...No pain was indured, just relief. She was 82 years old and had a feeling i guess and pressed her necklace which has a 911 button on it to send the signal to the ambulance to come get her from her home. They came at 12:00am,picked her up and called the family saying she was in the hospital.Doctors ran test, nothing wrong. This also happened to my grand-father,he passed away with a smile on his face and laughing, saying he felt tired and needed to rest his eyes.I will never forget that moment. But my other grand-mother(his wife)passed away after an operation on her hip.Im soo sad this morning, especially before christmas, which we were spending the day at my moms with grammy. The wake will be tomorrow and the wake monday.I believe the best way that god gives us to leave this earth is with a smile,a feeling of content and happiness and to just close our eyes one last time for along journey of peaceful well deserved sleep. How do you feel?Would you like to leave someday like this also. This would be my wish of no pain.
Your truly,peanutjar:(:(

Hi peanutjar... I am really sorry to hear about your grandmas passing. I have you and your family in my thoughts. I bet it's really hard for you and your family especially this time of year. I think that your grandma knew it was her time as she left with a smile on her face to a peaceful rest. I'm sure an glad that she left with no pain. That is how I would also like to leave this life. I'm sorry!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss during the holiday season. My father in law passed away right before Thanksgiving (years ago) and it was really hard on my mother in law with the holidays. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
P.S. That is a sweet way to go...with a smile on your face. God Bless!

This of course is very sad, it's hard at any time to loose a loved one but especially this time of year when everyones stress level is at high tide. I do find peace in reading this and while I am honestly very sad for the family, I can't help but feel glad for your dear grandma to have the privilage of leaving pain free and at peace with the world. We certainly don't all get that reward. Prayers be with your family.

Thanks for that! Leave them laughing when you go! A very inspiring Post Peanutjar! Its very apparent that your Grandparents were ready, and welcomed their transition with a smile.

I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. It's sad when we lose a loved one, but especially when it's this time of year. But you have to know she was ready to go. She had a long life and she didn't suffer any pain. I'm sure it was her heart that just gave out. She was tired and wanted to leave this world. I believe there is a heaven and that she has gone on to a better place. Try not to let this ruin your holiday season because she wouldn't want that. She would want you to celebrate her life and passing.

I'm so sorry you lost your grandmother this morning. You are so right.....we take for granted that our loves ones will always be with us and I learned this the hard way. My mother is 82 years old and has been living with horrible pain for a few years and we all know she is getting tired of living this way. I keep telling myself that she isn't long for this world and when she is gone she won't be suffering any more but when that day comes I know it's going to be very hard for me to deal with. I only hope it will be the same for her and she will have a smile on her face when she decides she's had enough and gives up. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.

I record my condolence message for the demise of your grandmother. I pray God to keep her soul in peace. My prayer is to have a peaceful end like that. The purpose of life according to me, should be useful to others and lay the body in a peaceful manner with out disturbing others.
