I am pregnant for 8 months now and soon will be a mother to my first child.I wonder how it is going to be like a mother. I know I will never understand why moms nag so much and protective of their children once I become a mom myself too. Looking forward to giving birth to my daughter sometime soon. So watch out for that guys. Any advice is welcome as I really need it.

i think the most important thing is to just kind of ride with the waves with the kids and forget about your needs (though make sure you get breaks too!) and have fun...
being a mom has its rewards, sometimes it sucks...the first kid is the hardest i think because your whole life has to adjust...but more kids get easier because you know what to expect
good luck with baby!!

I am a first time mom as well. My son is 5 months old. It is absolutely the greatest thing to ever happen to me. You think you know what love is now, but you have no idea. Just wait until that little girl is in your arms and she looks at you. The love grows even more when she looks at you and smiles, and again when she can look at you, smile, and reach her hands out for you to hold her. The only advice I can give is be flexible. In my mind I had a certain way I was going to do things, but when the time comes, things change.

Congrats on your baby !!!! I am 41 yrs old and I have boys, ages 21 and 14, and they are truly one of my best accomplishments in life. I look @ my boys and feel I did a good job, yes I made mistakes, all parents do, but if you give them LOTS of love and understanding they will remember that love and not the mistakes. I have been fortunate enough to work @ home and be with my kids and I think that made a huge decision in my kids lives.

Congrads! There is nothing more exciting then bringing a baby into this world. I am the very proud mommy of a seventeen month old little boy, who is my whole world. I love being a mom, and yes you will understand why moms protect their children so much. The best advice I can give is DO YOUR KEGAL EXERCISE. A friend of mine had her first baby a few days ago and never did kegals, and man did she tear, and bad, she will be in the hospital for a while, while she heals up. I did kegals, probably not as much as a should have, and my delivery went great, all my muscles worked they way they were ment to. Being a mommy is great and I wish you the best of luck, if you ever have questions just ask.

Im sure once you actually become a mother you will see why other parents are so protective. I know i never understood it either. Im also pregnant with my first child. They have a book out called "what to expect the first year." It has a lot of useful information in it. You should check it out. Im sure you would find it very handy.

You probably have to go with the flow. Keep your strength up and keep getting the proper nutrition. Hopefully you have a name picked out.
Good luck with what is to come Byoti.

Being a mom is the most wonderful thing. I have 2 girls and the youngest is handycapped. I had to raise both my girls diffrently. Being flexable is a must. You may think things go one way and then they go the other. I'm heading into the twiny stage with my fist. Its a whole new ball game. So congrats on the little tike. Just love her and be the best you can be.
