I think many peopel are rating me negative :(

Changing from a red 9 to a blue 10 is a good thing! 10 is as high as you can get on myLot. Congrats! I've never had a 10 star before. Heck, 7 is the highest I've gotten and I have that right now.

red is 9 and blue is 10, the blue one is better then the red one :) !! congrats on reaching a 10 star :)

I do experience this because I am a Christian a lot of people don't like that so they will rate me negative. I try not to respond to too heated arguments because it just isn't worth it.

Hello subha. happy New Year to you. It may be perhaps that you are not being rated at all. I have noticed that you start many discussions but you rarely if ever go back and comment on what people have to say. And I don't mean saying "Thanks" to everyone. I mean joining in and answering the people who have joined your discussion. Each time you comment on a response the person comes back to your discussion and will rate you. Just try it. Go back over several of your dscussions for one or two days. Get involved in what people are saying, make quality comments. You will see your rating change and you will notice something else too. Good fortune.

It appears that you have been ill-advised about the rateings. The best myLoters are the people with the big numbers and the low ratings. This is because those people who respond thinking only of their rating can not be completely Honest or Sincere. Instead they pussyfoot around, seeking to please the Poster, to insure a positive rating. Those myLoters who are Honest, will be Candid with their opinions, because they are concerned, first and foremost with their Intregrity and the need to make myLot a better place. These myLotters are proud of their low star ratings because their Honesty Shows!

Now, at this time of responding to your discussion, you are back to 10. So, chin up, my friend. But honestly, I do not give anybody negative ratings, I rarely make use of it only when I find people being abusive at others. I can tolerate anything but verbal abuse, on myLot. As far as I know, you have been a very decent and well mannered myLotter, So you always get a + from me. Despite this post running the risk of being deleted, I'm responding to it. However, one suggestion for you is, not to bring up individual issues with myLot as a discussion. They are always at risk, if you do, do it diplomatically with metaphoric titles. All the best!

When I started out and got to 100 I was an 8 and then 2 weeks later I went to a 9. then after about a couple of months I was finally at a 10 and I was really happy to see that blue star cause I got sick of seeing the red one all the time. Then I wasn't on here for a while and when I logged in I saw that it went back down to a 9, ughh, I hate the 9 but I try not to let it bother me and I'm hoping that someday soon I will get back to a 10. I don't know who rated me negatively because my responses are usually long enough and I try not to make anyone mad but maybe I did make someone mad. Either that or there is someone on here downrating everyone just for the evil fun of it. Oh well hope to see my blue star again soon. :)

i haven't experienced that for a long time now subha. and i'm very thankful. although i would say to you that you shouldn't think of it too much because you'll eventually get your blue star back. don't think too much if there are people rating you negatively, it won't do any good. and besides, maybe your ratings went down because of other reasons. don't get crazy over it. ^__^ just do whatever it is you're doing and we're here to help you get back your blue star. i'll give you a (+) for this. ^__^ goodluck!

That sort of thing happened to me 3 or 4 times... my star would become blue 10 then back again to red 9 after a few hours or days... this would usually happen everytime i respond to a very opinionated discussion... like the one's about abortion and divorce... some people just can't accept the fact that we are all entitled to our own opinion... I try not to mind the rating but sometimes... it can really get into our nerves...

Well i dont think my star has dropped but the number of the rating has. I try to stay out of discussions that are controversial. There are some people who tend to give you a negative feedback if they dont agree with what you say. So maybe you should just watch what kind of discussions you post in.

I have not experienced that before as I have been stuck on 9 for as long as I can remember. So, it is probably just as bad as being 'demoted' since I have not been consider good enough to be 'promoted' here. Hee.. Nonetheless, I enjoy my time here in mylot just as much. :-)

I have gone from a ten to a nine (blue to red star) twice now. I think that it does happen that every now and again you will say something and get negative ratings based on your opinions. Don't take it to heart. You make good quality comments and discussions...so, let it be at that!
