I have seen some very interesting names on MyLot and I would love to know why you picked the name you did. I have a few people in particular I would like to hear from... but hearing from everyone would be great!
Share with us! Why did you pick your name.
People ask my about mine all the time. I'll break it down:
II = The astrological sign for Gemini.
2 = "to"
atee = "a tee"
So... I am a "Gemini to a tee"!
Get it?
Your turn :)

My sun and moon conjunct in Aries on the Pisces cusp. I also have a few other planets that had just left Pisces and were beginning they're journey through Aries, and the Chinese Water Dragon fits me to a tee as well - even though I am not Chinese.
Nor am I a Buddhist. My user name was born one night as I was getting ready to play online scrabble with my (grown) kids. They were harassing me unmercifully to hurry and pick a name so we could play. My mind was totally blank, and I so wasn't in the mood for a boring username. My eyes were desperately scanning the room for an idea, and there it was... the packet of zigzags sitting in front of my amazingly elaborate Buddha-head candle.
I've heard that the older a Gemini gets, the better looking they become. It certainly is the case with Johnny Depp!

Wow, yours is very clever! I did wonder about yours before actually!
I'll be honest, I wasn't really the one who picked mine. It's a nickname given to me by a relative who was a teacher of mine in spiritual matters, and it's part of the name of a lioness spirit he dealt with. Basically the spirit is a bit of a pain, but also very amusing, so I got nicknamed after her... and as a result she's become somewhat a protector of me.
Using the name online just kind of happened... I don't even remember exactly when I decided to do so. It's just a name I associate more with myself than my real name, and since I'm more open about myself online than offline, it made sense to use it here.

I'm happy you appreciated my little story!
And I'm glad you have such a fierce protector.
Yeah, my username fits me like a tee too, from the first moment of it's conception. I still identify with my birth name, which is Avalon, but I really love zigzagbuddha, it is a very appropriate name for me.
Yep, every year that goes by, Johnny Depp just gets more and more attractive. How can he live with himself, being the most gorgeous man alive?!?! A friend of mine once summed up Johnny Depps appeal perfectly for me when he said "I don't want to phuck him, I want to BE him!"

Mine comes from racing. Foxy= name of one of or sponsors, Fire=nickname I got for my red hair and "fiery" temper, 33 is our car number. I've used it for everything else and wasn't feeling creative enough to come up with something else when I signed up here.

Krowbar
The crowbar was my favorite weapon when I used to play Half-Life back when I was still college.
I modified "C" of crowbar to a "K" so it would spell different. I got that idea when I used to use Linux (Mandrake) - Konqueror. Changing Cs to Ks looked good hehehe.
So when I played Half-Life, Chatting at mIRC, and other things that needed an alias (i.e MyLot), krowbar became my name/alias/username of choice.

My Avatar is myself doing a Seated Forward Bend. I've been a Yogi for many years. Its a Great hobby as well as being very Healthy.
In this Yoga Asana I'm seated on the floor, my knees are flat against the mat, the soles of my feet are together and closed eyes are against my big toes. It sounds difficult but with a few years of practise anyone can do it.

Well my username is not unique like yours. sac is short for Sacramento and mom is because I'm a mom. It's basic, simple, and easy enough to remember. :)

Yours is very clever!
My nickname, the dog shrink, was given to me by some of my customers, whose dogs I worked with years ago. My approach to training was very unusual back then, tho it is more commonplace now -- it is a behavioral (psychological) approach, based on the dogs' needs, natural behaviors, etc. So the people would say, oh, you're a dog shrink! And it kinda stuck. Like someone else said, i wasn't feeling creative enough to come up with something else, even tho I post on Mylot on other subjects than just dogs.

I happen to find that not only very creative, but fascinating as well! What a rewarding talent you must have... I absolutly love dogs!
However, all I can picture is you sitting in a chair with a dog laying on the couch talking about how overbearing his mother was while you scribble notes and say "Yes but how does that make you feel?"
Haha, seriously though I would love to find out more about this. Do you have any web sites I can read about this on?
Thanks so much!
