and get everything you wanted, or did you spend it all alone, and it was just another day? Or do you choose not to Celebrate Christmas so you just acted like you normally do?
We gladly Celebrate Christmas, and Jesus birth, and we had a wonderful Christmas. Actually, for me, this ranks as one of the better Christmas's even if I did not get a lot of presents like I used to get. For me, the main thing that is important, is spending time with family and just enjoy your time together. What I have learned since loosing my Mom the end of September, is that we are never guaranteed tomorrow, so make the best with what you have.
I did receive some Gift Cards from WalMart, Safeway, Block Buster and Jack In The Box... and got some Candles and Series 1 of Ugly Betty which was nice as well. We spent time at my sisters, and with my Brother in Law, and had some wonderful food to eat both places. No, I may not have gotten a lot, but what I got, I am Happy with, and feel this was a Great yr. to remember.
Hope yours was Great as well, and wishing you the Best in 2008 as well.

Sounds like you had a great Christmas~ glad to hear it.
We also had a very nice Christmas. We had my family here at my house for Christmas Eve. There were 23 of us celebrating. It was very confusing, but wonderful.
Christmas night we went to my inlaws for dinner.
I got a laptop:) from my husband and kids! That was my fav present. I actually picked it out, so not really a surprise.
I got some clothes, a griddle and a comforter too. The one thing that I wanted was a dvd player because ours broke. My son knew that I wanted on, so the day after Christmas he went out and bought us one and gave it to us yesterday. I thought it was so nice of him.
We ate and ate and ate.....the first of the year will be the start of another diet!

Sounds like you had a nice Christmas, and got some wonderful gifts. But isn't it always nice to spend some time with your family and see people you may not see but once a year? Gives you something to look forward too.

Glad you had a nice Christmas! I prayed for Peace, and I really didn't even get that~ Things just haven't been the same since my father passed in August. Not that he was the glue that held the family together, but so much has tore our family in so many different directions. I am hopeful that 2008 will be great!

Well, I know how it is, as now that my Mom is gone, I will probably never hear from a lot of my family except for maybe my sister. And she is getting ready to move to Pennsylvania when their house sells.
All we can do is Pray, believe, and Trust God for great things in 2008 and take them as they come.

Our family started celebrating Yule on the 21st and had several small dosings of present unwrapping and appreciation of each gift.
The Boy had about 3 gifts a day and fully enjoyed each one. We had some rich foods we don't usually eat.
Saturday is going to be the extended family Holiday celebration including Yule and Christmas both.

Christmas was just another day for me this year. My family doesn't celebrate. I usually do with my cousin and my brother, but we were all broke this year. The best thing is that my boyfriend flew out from Arizona the week before and we got to see each other. That was nice.

I had a nice enough christmas, the day was fine. I couldn't wish for a better day and we still spent it with my parents, as it's nice to give them the day and have "jake" my son around.
Brings alot of joy to his grandparents.
So pretty much smashing.

I'm afraid my Christmas was a little depressing due to some news we received a week before that has been hanging over my head. My heart just wasn't in the holiday and I felt horrible because Christmas is normally my favorite day of the year. All day I kept telling myself the true reason for Christmas and why I love celebrating it but didn't work and then Christmas night I got sick and still am - cold/flu just can't seem to shake it.

I enjoy Christmas and especially the family getting together to spend the day together. To me that is what makes Christmas so nice. Sitting around the table with loved ones is the best for me to enjoy Christmas. I have three grandkids and my son their dad and his wife came over and we ate and had good talk. Then we opened the gifts which there were not a whole lot. After the gifts were opened we had good visiting and enjoyed each others company. That to me is what Christmas is all about.

I had a very good Christmas as my cousin, daughter and grandson took me out to eat at an Indian restuarant and I didn't have to cook. Christmas day is my birthday also and it was really nice to have my family with me on that special day.

We had a wonderful Christmas, and after a week of insisting and being very impatient that I open one of my gifts, my s/o finally just put it in my lap on Sunday and said open it! lol Well after I did I understood why, it was a new camera, and he wanted me to have time to read up on it and learn about it before Christmas day! lol I called my family in Texas and talked to everyone at my mom's including my two daughters, and we spent the afternoon at his parent's home, which was full of fun, conversation, and good food. And one of the best gifts this year (besides my camera! lol) was that my son-in-law was home with my daughter, since he was in Iraq last Christmas, he got home in September. We were all glad for that.
