I'd absolutely love to make my own ice cream but sadly I don't know how.
When it's homemade then you decide the flavour, the cost and the ingredients. And it's just plain fun!

Its very simple to make your own ice cream, all you need are the ingredience, an ice cream maker and some time. Just follow what the cookbook says, and after that pour the mass into the ice cream maker, use the crank and turn the ice cream to get it mixed, after that you put in the freezer for majbe 20 minutes. i guess thats it.
I agre its more fun making it yourself, more fun than buying ice cream from the store. hopefully i can get a picture up so you can se what ice cream maker i use.

Thanks for the info, Wario!
I'm going to try it sooner or later, but with my clumsiness I might end up with iced cement than iced cream ;)
Thanks again and happy posting!

i would love to taste a homemade ice cream however here in our place, particularly here in Quezon province of the Philippines it is not practical to prepare a homemade ice cream since it needs an ice cream maker and ice cream maker is a bit expensive. the bad thing is i do not know where can i buy an ice cream maker. people with ice cream makers are the ones who prepare ice cream as their business not for personal use.
so i do not bother to prepare ice cream. there are a lot of varieties of ice creams here that we can buy anyway.

Doesn't need to be expensive, ive bought my own icecream maker, a small one for personal use (abuse) for a couple of $, a real bargain. Since it's for home usage it can't make any larger quantities of ice cream but the quality is often much better than storebought, if you know how to make it right. Going upload a picture on one that is almost exactly like the one i have.

you can make some really interesting tastes in homemade ice cream, i remember me and a friend made lemon icecream at his place and then we gave everyone there some to have. It was really nice taste and it was a smash hit.
Were going to have a video game weekend, i feel tempted to test a really odd taste, Bacon garlic icecream.

Home made, because its cheaper. Fun to do and you know what stuffs in it, no need for nasty suprises. Would be fun to get together a some friends and make something, what a sight that would be, a bunch of guys baking and cooking stuff, especially when you know that neither me or any of my friends are cooks.

I prefer store bought. It is less milky than the homemade ice creams that I have tried. My grand daughter got one of those balls that you make ice cream inside of for Christmas. They look like alot of fun for kids to make their own treats with.

I love store bought ice-creame. My favorite kind of ice-cream is bryers. The reason why I like store bought ice-cream is simply because here are so many flavors out there to please my pallot. With homemade ice-cream it is almost as if my ability to mix and create different flavors is limited.
