It is going to be a new year. How do you feel about this? Do you celebrate it? If so why? I just feel about it as another day.We just put up new calenders and have to get used to writting a new year on our checks, when we pay the same darn bills we paid last year.

Yep, it always takes me about a month to get use to writing a new year. As far as writing checks, that is one thing I changed at the beginning of this year, I pay my bills on line. May you have a blessed New Year!

I honestly don't.I never really have evcept when I was a teenager going out with my friends. We stay home so we don't get hurt or killed by drunk drivers. We just sit around and I do the usual,on my computer. My 10 year old daughter wants to stay up for once and see the ball drop on tv.But she always falls asleep.I try to wake her up and then hit the hay myself. The next day we do the the same thing.I don't see whats to celebrate....celebrate changing the callender? All that stuff years ago about making a resolution. It never works out so what's the point.I just means doing the same old thing again just like we did before. Now Christmas is a holiday to celebrate.Celebrating our saviors birth, that's something to celebrate.

We celebrate New Years, but usually only because it's what we do every year. My family gets together and meets somewhere, and if there are people drinking (which there usually are), then we designate drivers to make sure everyone gets home safe. Sure, it's just another day of the year, but there's nothing wrong with celebrating.

Oh,Iam not saying that there is anything wrong with celebrating it,I just don't do it.I will tell people Happy New Year, but I just don't go out of my way to celebrate it.Don't feel a need to.But,if someone comes over I don't tell them to leave.

My New Years sounds like yours. hehe. I don't have any plans. I am hoping the grandsons can come over. I had told their mom I would babysit them and then she could go out. I would love to bring in the new year with my son and his kids. his 2 older boys are with another women. my son, daughter in law, grandson and new baby on the way live with me. The 2 older boy's mom likes to be selfish with the boys. New Years day my mom and I have to work. We have 2 houses to clean. Other then that no plans, I am not a drinker or partier. I do wish you a Joyous New Year. Take care.

I use to but not as much as I use to. I agree it is just another day with more bills and new calenders. It is just getting use to writing out the date to 2008 instead of 2007. This year really flew by fast.

The resolutions and plans never seem to work out.The new year is just the same as last year was. So,what's the point. No Iam not being bitter it's true.I tried to have a better outlook and do the whole new year resolution thing, but it always stays the same.

I always used to get really excited about New Year's, but now it's not that big of a deal to me. Once my daughter can stay up past 10 or 11 though I'm sure I will look forward to it once again. She is now almost 19 months old so things are only going to get better until she's a rebelious teenager that is lol. Happy New Year! Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.

I say Happy New Year to people and send greetings online, but I do not go celebrate it. My daughter will be 11 next month and she has yet to be able to stay up to watch the ball drop as much as she wants to.So,we'll see if she can do it tonight.lol
