what are the best ways to get traffic?

One of the best ways i think is great for traffic is forum and blog marketing. When you post on forums and have a good knowledge base which shows in posts, people would be inclined to learn what qualifications you have, what you can do, even what you can do for them. This on its own will create traffic. Social networks arent that great an option for me because of their limitations. ONLY the people that are in that network will care about a post or topic. For example, if your website is posted in a sports social network, people in technology won't be in that network; thus they wont see your site. Market your site so that as many people see it as possible. A more indirect way is that you must have good content on your site. If people are interested, they wil tell their friends, who tell their friends, who tell their friend... so on and so forth. This, in turn creates even more traffic.
