I shopped for a few hours with my sister this afternoon. I had to drive to her house which is only an hour away but by the time I got home tonight I am very beat! Does shopping tire you out? We didn't really even shop but for a few hours and there weren't big crowds so I don't know why shopping makes me so tired! LOL...do you get tired out when you shop?

Oh my when my sister and I go shopping I am so tired when I get home I don't even want to put my stuff I bought away. We usually shop all day when we go because we don't often get a chance to shop together. Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful shopping trip the day after Thanksgiving the stores were crowded and had to stand in line for 2 hours to check out at one store but we still had lots of fun and while standing in line we met some interersting people

I never go out shopping for more than 4hrs or so, any more than that and I start to tire out. Especially if I go after work.

I usually can't go after work! I am too tired to begin with but you are right. Four hours is enough for me too!

Hmm...I think driving an hour to your sister's and then going out shopping, then driving the hour home would tire me out. Usually though shopping doesn't make me tired if it's just me or me and a friend. Grocery shopping with the family - THAT makes me completely exhausted!!! :)

It's all the thinking you have to do while you grocery shop! And with extra people! The driving does make me tired too!

I think I would actually pay for somebody to shop for me. I hate it. It is so exhausting. You have to find someplce to park and deal with all of the mall rats...yuck!

Well for me it does, lol.I use to love to shop but lately i do not like it all at.Even after an hour of shopping, walking around and looking at things,im tired and cannot wait till i come home to plop on my comfy couch until my daughter jumps on me,haha. She hates shopping,so i think thats why i become tired easy. The christmas shopping has beat me out to the core.Im still recuperating from it and even taking naps in the after noon now, trying to get some more extra sleep and build the energy level back-up.The bright store lights dont help either you know, thats what my mom told me. Your mom is a smart woman...I did a craft sale in a mall for three days this fall and afterwards had to drive to the cities and had a hard time not only staying awake but seeing. I think it makes your eyes strained! Thanks peanut jar and Happy New Year!

I used to like to shop. When my dad was alive, every time I went to visit he'd want to go and spend hours in the mall. Since that time, however, I've drifted away from all but the most basic shopping. It seems to me that no matter what mall you go to, they have the same stores and the same very expensive stuff. So gradually over the last few years I've transferred all of my shopping to online stores. I get better bargains, a larger variety to choose from, and I never get tired.

That's a good idea to stay out of the crowds. I usually only shope with my one sister and one friend...that is when I do the majority of my shopping! I do some online shopping too....I really like that!

There was a time when I would get together with my sister and we would shop all day long. A few weeks ago we went shopping for a few hours in the afternoon. We hit 4 stores and by the time we checked out of the last store we were exhausted.

Yes, it really wears me out. My problem is getting someone to get me to a mall since I hate to shop. Sometimes I can be talked into it...lol Never have been a big shopper. Took our kids when they were small and that was enough to last me a lifetime. I don't mind crowds at all since it's a great place to people watch. Shopping is not my idea of fun!

I don't get tired...because I don't shop...I just go in with a list and buy what I need and go home. It doesn't take too long that way.

My sister and I did some shopping yesterday. And I think we spent four to five hours roaming the mall, looking for the perfect gifts. And we were so tired after that. My feet felt as if they will just fall off and my back was killing me!When I was younger, shopping for so many hours was no problem for me. I don't get tired at all. But now, -sighs-, it's lucky if I can still stand up on my feet after hours of shopping.

Only if I have to go for clothes for myself. Nothing ever fits. I'll take 8 different brands of pants, 2 different sizes, like 12 medium nad a 12 regular, of each pant brand and out of all that find the one that fits, only to go back to the rack and find that the size I want - there aren't anymore, I have the last pair of that size in my hand! I hate that so much!!! But I love shopping for office supplies, cook/bake ware, hair stuff, home deor, kids stuff - just need the money to accomodate!

I understand that totally....each brand fits different! And that is wearing! No pun intended! LOL

Yes, definitely. When I went out Christmas shopping a couple of weeks ago, I had a hard time looking for a certain type of gift for someone and it took a few stops for me to find what I was looking for - after it all it really wears you down.

Shopping makes me tired. We don't drive so we spend ages waiting around for buses and then there is the walk to the bus stop, although that's only 10 or 20 minutes depending on which stop we need to go to! Then, the actual shopping part, there are usually crowds which I hate. I feel like I'm asleep half the time anyway! I don't like shopping anyway but I'm positive I would hate it less if it wasn't for crowds of people. There always seems to be someone or other who can't decide which way to go or someone else who has to be in a rush and push passed you right until they are in front and then they slow down. Then you get old ladies with those annoying shopping trolley things who just appear from nowhere , they're so slow, I can't figure out how they go there! I know all of that adds to tiring me out while shopping. Then, there is also the fact that I usually have my 2 year old son with me. Fortunately, he is usually well behaved but still tiring! I think the only time I haven't been tired when I've been shopping is if I've just gone to town, got an empty bus straight away and the shops haven't been busy! I have a friend who loves shopping and I get really bored as well so that doesn't help. My partner is terrible as well. He'll go really fast, expecting me to keep up and then he'll be slow around the shops and keep stopping. The other day, I went to get a birthday present for my son and spent most of the time in the shops my partner wanted to go! If I'd have gone on my own, I'd have been done in a couple of hours and that would have included the hour or so on the bus!

Aw.....you are right about that! When you go with someone else you have to stop where they want to too and it takes alot longer!

I love to shop but yes, the crowds of people and the walking wears me out. Even when there are no crowds, I think just the walking and carrying items will wear a person out. Not to metion when pushing those carts, there is always at least one messed up wheel on them. This makes it more difficult to push.

You must be like me.....always get the cart with the bad wheel that veers off to the side and is hard to push! LOL

yeah... it makes me tired. super. ^__^;; because i usually shop for more than a couple of hours. when i go out to shop at 11am, i would go home at around 5 or 6pm. sometimes i go home at 7. LOL its because i go to a lot of stores. not just the mall. i go to independent stores outside the mall. some of them are walking distance and some are far enough that i would need to ride a jeep (Filipino public utility vehicle). most of the time i wouldn't notice the time and i would skip meal and i would just buy a hotdog or a donut and eat it while on my way to another store. LOL so after i got home iw would not only be tired but also very hungry. ^__^;;

If it's just a couple of hours shopping then it doesn't tire me, but if being out a whole day, especially if there are a lot of people out, then I'm really tired when I come home.

Unless it is an all day excursion, shopping usually doesn't tire me out. Shopping is usually pretty uplifting for me, so the opposite happens. Now if I am out for a long time and the kids are acting up, that can tire me out pretty quickly. It's not so much physically demanding but mentally draining. Luckily that doens't happen too often.

Yes, yes I do. I'm not have enough time to shopping, and I have a bad memory, I need to have a long to to record what I have to buy from supermarket. And then, I will make a list. My mum laughed at me, she said 'I'm good at save money'. This is a paradox, I know.
