or anything else that isn't bolted down for that matter ? I have stolen salt and pepper shakers when we first moved and had none lol. I think some beer stines when i was loaded drunk. Those popcorn flavors from the theater. . But i think that's it..

You took popcorn flavoring from a theater? That is funny. I took a platter once from a diner when I was waaaaaaayyyyyyyy younger. Some friends and I were going to move into an apartment and we dind't have anything and all took something - salt and pepper, silverware, a platter. I think I felt so guilty about it that I couldn't do it ever again. We never ended up getting that apartment either but I can't remember what I did with that large platter?

I have never done this, but I know my mom has! I have seen her steal a glass that had the restaurant's name written on it. She asked me beforehand if I thought the restaurant had any for sale, but I told her I didn't think so, so she grabbed the one she had been drinking from and stuck it in her purse! Of course she looked around to make sure no one was looking before doing this. I was upset she did this, but what was I going to do? Rat on my own mother? I don't think so. This happened a long time ago and thankfully I haven't seen her do anything like this since. :P

lol i dont think its that big of a deal. Really what are they going to say Even if they see you? EXCUSE ME MISS I BELIEVE YOU HAVE A GLASS IN YOUR PURSEE? lol I doubt that any waitress will risk loosing a tip when they are already paid so little to save the resteraunt a glass or fork ;)

I don't either, but if everyone (or even just a few) started doing it, it could cause problems for the restaurant. And if that were to happen it would be up to the employees to keep an eye on every glass or fork.

I think everyone has done that. I always take the extra butter, and jams. The best thing I took was a coconut mug from my company x-mas party.

I really would not be allowed in to a resteraunt because i could quiter happily furnish my dining experience from trips to various resteraunts. I have cutlary from claridges, i have condiment holders from cafe Nicole in New York, in fact i have a veritable magpie's collection from high class establishments the world over blessed be

I have never been the one to actually take something from a place but I was with my friends many times. When we were teenagers my friends would steal signs (the ones that hang from the ceiling and are stuck to windows) from just about every fast food place we had ever eaten. Once they took the big stone and cement ash tray from outside of Taco Bell. They loaded it up in the bed of the pick-up truck in broad daylight.

No, I've never stolen salt and peppers, plates, glasses etc. What about stuff from hotel rooms? Is that ok too? I'm sorry, I think stealing is stealing.

So, if you worked at a corporation, you thinks it's ok to steal from them? Is shoplifting ok too? After all the stores have lots of money too.

But its not like your stealing from your friend, or your stealing from someone you know. . I know stealing is stealing, but i can justify it when i spend like 15$ on a meal that i know only cost them 5$ to put together! And hotel rooms, well, I have stolen a blanket from a hotel room, and the usually soaps and towels. lol. I would never steal from someone i knew, or even a person that i di dn't know. I only steal from a corperation, or chain. They obviously can afford the loss of a few items. After all there are usually millionaire owners, or even Billionairs.

I do have a logical answer for you bon bon :) I wouldnt steal if i worked for the corperation, because that could cause me to loose my job. No i wouldnt steal from the stores, because that hikes the prices of EVERYTHING in the store up so that the store can install security or pay security gaurds, that hurts EVERYONe not just the corperation. . Seems logical to me.

Hmm...I'm not sure if this is the only one, but this is definitely the most memorable..lol When I moved to Niagara Falls, we went out to a Denny's restaurant, so I scoffed the thick glass vase that was on the table..lol. I'm not a flower person, so I'm not quite sure why I even took it..lol. It is however now broken and thrown out thanks to someone's head...oops :P

many times. LOL I've taken can opener, stirrer, condiments, and tissue paper. the can opener I took when I was drunk during my birthday celebration. ^__^;; the other stuffs are just minimal for the restaurants. I mean, it would not be a big loss for them. ^__^

If they offer I will take it even if I dont' intend to use it at that visit...hey, they offered, I didn't ask! And sometimes I'll take what I would use on my particular order, but not use it then, like ketchup. At McDonald's I like their fries without ketchup, but since I bought the fries, i am entitled to the ketchup, so I will take it and use it at home later. Problem out here in CA is that so many do abuse the condiments at fast foods, that they don't automatically put them in the bags or on the tray, you have to ask for it and they will only give you a few - like 1 ketchup per fry order. And there is a limit to how many they will give you. A McDonalds out here only gives their limit (don't know what that is, but like 4-5 ketchups per order) and if you want more, you have to pay 3ยข per condiment package.

lol that's crazy! i wonder what they charge per sweet and sour dip for nuggets, i always get the extra sauce to dip my fries in. Well when i eat there i do. I have been trying to stay away from a lot of fast food!

Now that i think about it.. In the mcdonalds's here, when you go in to eat, they have those ketchup dispenser thingy ma jiggers. .. you know where you push the level and ketchup spouts out into the little cup that's barely big enough to hold an entire shot of ketchup that comes outta the thingy jigger lol. I guess it'd be pretty hard to steal ketchup fromt there that way!

Oh, they charge for extras of that stuff too! I stopped going there because of that. I don't go to fast food to often, but I am sorry, to charge for that stuff is just not customer friendly. I can understand them trying to stop the stealing of it inside the place, but as a drive through - give the decent amount - they control it. If there are 2 large fries, give about 4 paks of ketchup per order and the customer drives away happy. Inside, keep it at the counter instead of out there in the common area. Hand the order with a proper amount or ask how many. Then if the people want more, they have to go ask for it. I can understand them wanting to cut down on people taking advantage, but at the same time, they also drive customers away so what have they accomplished?

Yeah I've stolen a fork and a knife. I don't usually do that but we were in this mall and it had this Japanese restaurant that had a break for several hours and they had just closed the stand and left the tables outside and people who were still eating were supposed to leave the plates and the rest in one metal box. I thought that was really strange and my room mate and I decided we need a fork and knife so we took them. Our other room mate made a scene about it and said that was stealing and blah blah blah but we didn't pay attention to her.

I have taken a little bit of toilet paper to put in my pocket when I had a cold and I paid for some tomato ketchup sachets from a cafe and then realised they had this free so I put the paid sachets in my pocket and then used the free ketchup. I think that's about it. None of them I would really class as stealing because the toilet paper is there to take anyway and if you need some more then you take it. As for the ketchup they shouldn't have been selling sachets if they were offering it for free. No I don't tend to steal it is wrong no matter what it is.

Ibelieve so, in one form or another, we pay for it. lol That doesn't make us entitled to it i guess.. it IS someone elses property, but hey, those are the chances they take when they leave their stuff laying around like that right?~ lol.

I haven't taken anything but I do remember one time my ex husband and I and a few friends went out to sizzlers years ago. We had paid for our meals and were sitting there eating. Two friends turned up late and pointed to our table and said they were with us. Fair enough right? Well they got in for free as the poor staff assumed they had already been paid for and then when we were about to leave one of these late comers went and got some alfoil. She told staff she had had a hot potato and wanted to take it home. When in fact she wrapped a bowl of ice-cream and sprinkles etc up in it and calmly walked out the door. Well we were stunned and yes I do admit we all did have a bit of a laugh and yes I did feel bad that she did that.

hehe its ok garnet, It's only a little bit of ice cream :) I have never beentoa sizzlers,, but i'm willing to bet if its' a chain, they have more then enough money to cover the cost of the ice cream ;)

It wasn't so much that I felt bad because she took the ice-cream it was the fact that she also took the bowl and a spoon to eat it with. Looking back now I laugh. But yes it is a big restaurant chain and it probably happens all the time.

I once stole a pepper shaker from a Red Lobster for an old college housemate. Their salt & pepper shakers are shaped like Corona bottles and my house mate had a pair she'd bought somewhere else. At any rate, somehow the pepper shaker had broken and when she heard I was going to Red Lobster with a friend she asked me to steal a replacement. I just slipped it into my purse after we paid the bill and walked out! But that's the only thing I've every consciously taken, and I'd say in the whole scheme of things it's not too bad :)
