I'm thinking of signing up for a cake decorating class at Michael's. Has anyone out there done this? What did you think...was it worth it, did you learn much, or was it at least fun?

I never took from Michael's either, but I did take some classes with a friend years ago. It was a lot of fun and not as hard as you might think. You can make some really neat cakes for friends and family. I was even thinking of go into the business of making cakes for kids' parties, but never followed through. I think you will surprise yourself how easy and fulfilling it is. I thought it was fun and hope you go for it.

thank you...that's good to know it's not too hard. It does sound like fun so I'm looking forward to it. Decorating kids' cakes would probably be a great business.
