Besides going to see your gp or a dermatologist depending on the severity of it, I can suggest a few home remedies to get rid of pimples overnight. Apply a thik layer of toothpaste over the spot, allow to dry, leave and rub off in a few hours, or the next morning. Do the same with calamine lotion, it has the same effect. Tea tree oil appled to a pimple with a coton bud every few hours has the same effect. All three remedies dry the pimple out, draw the pus out and reduce swelling and redness... Hope I've helped a little...

The gel kind should be fine, but if it doesn't work, try your ordinary toothpaste. You basically just need something to dry it out. Remember not to touch them becaues it transfers dirt and oil around your face, and so NOT squeeze or you run the risk of scarring, and it doesn't help anyway. Females (males too if they feel comfortable doing this) can use a green based concealer to eliminate redness... Hope that helps :D

Watch your diet, take lots of fruits and vegetables. Also keep your hands from picking on them, wash with a mild cleanser two or three times a day.

Use a cleanser specifically for oily skin. Use it in the morning and the afternoon.
Five steps to great skin care are: Cleanse, Freshen, Exfoliate, Moisturize & Protect.
Also using a microdermabrasion helps to polish and gently remove dull skin.
Keep your hands away from your skin. They carry germs and bacteria that can cause breakouts.

You asked for a long term remedy so here is one that might work. You have to start with getting the right bacterias into your small and large intestine. The best help is Acidophilus Plus from www.gnld.com
Then avoid heated oils and junk food, white flour, white rice, sugar and so on.
Eat healthy food, fish, vegetables, cold pressed oils, well, I think you know the rest. You can read more on the gnld hopepage...
Write to me if you have questions...

Regularly wash your face with soap and water so as to remove dirts... Special ointments as recommended by the dermatologist is needed. Don't just put anything on your face like creams and etc for you don't know the reactions it will cost to your face.

The info here has been of some help...
Thankyou guys. But yeah, you need to go for a Skin Peel to get rid of the scars and the marks that they tend to leave how much ever care you take not to squeeze or touch them
It's frustrating!
