Do we get paid to say thank you?

Here on Mylot, i am wondering if "generic" responses are just as good. With that I mean comments such as "thank you", "your response is appreciated", "have a nice day"....etc.....I posted a lot of those yesterday-as some of my forums cannot really keep an active conversaton going. I participated a lot by saying such phrases and only got compensated 2.79...Let me know what you think!

I don´t think so but maybe something. I don´t think you get paid for one or two word answers. Longer, more details answers will earn you more, as will starting a topic which gets lots of replies. However, it´s just guesswork. No one knows the payment formula except the myLot staff (else people would just play on it to maximise earnings).

I was just curious....I would hate to think that all those "thank yous" were not eligible for pay.

Hi miss prince I feel thank you are the two most important words on earth and should be said no matter what. Even though I do copy most of my thank yous it also means I have read what you have typed and in most cases I will hit the plus sign next to your conversation. The only time I will not do that is if a person is being mean and attacking me or another person or when they are being vulgar.

So do you ignore people who trash others? Read the above statement on this forum...I agree I was not polite to this indivual, but I also disagree with ANYONE knocking others on Mylot to try to generate a conversation.

Well I am learning that this site is monitored...some of my topics (that included direct links) have been erased! And I had a few poeple harrassing others and their comments have been removed too. I am just curious to know what they find acceptable and what not. My thank you's are defintiely acceptable, but may not meet qualifications for pay...

I think it's nice and important to say thank you...not everyone does that nowadays. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you's are nice to hear but I would hope they aren't compensated as would a real reply. Thank you and then at least 1 sentence would be nice.

I don't know for sure if you get paid for them, but I think that the more you do, shows better manners and help keeps the topic alive, in which it does make you money

I too only say thank you because it's polite. And considering I very rarely get comments on my original posts I think it's only appropriate.
