Swatting Children in Class

When I was in kindergarten (1981)the teacher would give us a swat in the hand (if parents signed the permission slip) if we talked during class or did anything else that wasn't favorable. Do you think that teachers should be able to do this now? I do; maybe there wouldn't be as much chaos in our classrooms today.

it's undoubtable that proper punishment is essential to warn the children of their shouldn'ts,such as a slight swat in the hand.but he can overtreat a student ,especially a child who is now growing .so this may be harmful to his health,which also has bad influence on his frail mind.
