When You Grow Up

When I was small I wanted to be a dancer. When I was in high school I wanted to be a teacher. Now I teach ballet and tap, so I have the best of both worlds.
What kind of job or career did you want to have when you were younger? Are you doing what you thought you would?

I've wanted to become a singer since I was practically 6...and aimed and aimed for it...then I wanted a good career so I wanted to go to college...And now I'm attending a performance arts college where I perform my own songs every Friday night while still being able to get a good degree in music, graduate, and hope for a bright future.

When I was little - really little I wanted to be a nurse, then when I was in my early teens I wanted to be a chef... I never became either of them - although I always wanted to be a mum and that is what I am so I suppose I am doing something I always wanted to do.

Well, I never became a veterinarian, although I have adopted lots of animals and nursed some of them back to health. The teaching that I ended up doing has been many years of volunteer work, plus lots of teaching my own kids. My musical career has turned into donating my cds to benefit hospice, and performing on stage at karaoke shows. What I wanted changed often when I was younger, and I never settled on just one thing so I really never chose any one particular job or career I wanted to do.

That is great that you achived your dream of being a teacher and a dancer. When I was in elementary school I wanted to be a teacher then when I was in highschool I wanted to be a paralegal I didn't accomplish either sad to say.

When I was younger, I wanted to be a couple of things. I wanted to be a commercial airline pilot, a veterinarian, and a model. Am I doing any of these things? No. I am looking into teaching now and think I might really enjoy this. Winning the lottery would be great right about now!

When I was little I wanted to be a mom of a little boy and girl or a teacher and teach elementary school. Well, I'm not a teacher and in this time and age I don't think I could've been a teacher! Kids these day do not have any disclipine and that would drive me crazy!! But I am a mom of a 3 yr old boy and a 5 yr old girl!!
