Hi! I've been a member of Ebay for just under a year now and I have been a buyer. I got looking around here at christmas time and I have all of this STUFF that O don't use but frankly it's too perfectly good to be rubbish so I have decided to no be wasteful and to not be a packrat. I have posted my first item for sale on ebay lol. It's a broken ps2 and I'm excited and nervous about it lol... I don't know if I did it right or not.
If there are any selers out there please take a look at the add and let me know what I should have done differently to sell it better. Please let me know how to sell!!! hehe But most of all! wish me luck! (please)

I also tried to sell on Ebay without luck. The fees were insane that when I took in the listing fee, the final selling fee, the paypal fees because most people pay that way, then the shipping, I was making a couple bucks if that. I even lost money too. My sister used to sell there years ago and now won't bother. She used to have success with it but find that now there are so many sellers that buyers aren't as needy and are way more picky.
So now we just list items in our local papers for free and have people come and pick it up.
For example I sold my daughters working gameboy advance on ebay for 50 dollars with tons of games but once all the fees were taken off and shipping she got $27.00. But I sold locally from my free newspaper listing, my son's gameboy with scratches and one game for $50.
I used to think it was so easy to sell on there and that anything would get sold but that wasn't the case.
I wish you luck on Ebay and hope for the best!

Thank you for the horror story. I am going to try this sale and see what happens. But thank you for letting me see the flip side of the coin and I am sorry you had such a bad go of things on ebay.

I am just trying this but I do appreciate your honesty. I figured I would need to pay Ebay something otherwise how would the creators of that company make money? lol. But the fees weren't bad. It only cost me less than $2.00 to post my item.
