Its huge! Weighing around 900 lbs and about 1.5 bigger than its parents (Tiger and Lion) This is the result of cross breeding a male Lion and a female Tiger.
It is purely a captive animal though and it might not survive the wild because of its size.

Liger doesn't hav skills to live in the wild.
Also there are debates whether liger can reproduce or not.
So I think Liger is for attracting tourists to zoo.
Thus I strongly oppose these kinds of experiments.

There is also a hybrid created by a female lion and male tiger called a tion. Although I think both are beautiful animals, zoos & scientist should focus on preserving existing species. Both tigers & lions are threatened with extinction, hybrids are almost always sterile and since they are neither a lion or a tiger even if they are fertile, they do not strengthen the gene pools of either.

Nope I have never seen a liger.I imagine they are a sight to see though. A liger should be rather beautiful if it takes after its dad the lion. I wonder if this is just a fluke or will the scientists be able to create another liger.
