Lately, I had been listening to the music of 80's. I felt so refreshing and energised when listening to those music of yesteryear. It has been more than 20 years music; whereby listening to them, make you felt very young and all those nostalgic moments flashes in your mind.
I had been listening to Laura Braningan's Self Control , Wham's Careless Whispher, Rockwell's Knife, Madonna's La Isla Bonita...the list goes on and on..the feeling was very nostalgic. What more with You Tube, you even can view those old Solid Gold items and those Music Video of your favourite songs, singer or band. How those fashion of yesteryears make you smiling and think of your own craze to follow what you adores that time. I must confessed I'm obsessed with the 80's music now..does anyone ever felt like that before?

The 80's was one of my favorite times in terms of music. There were a lot of good artists and good songs in many different genres. Whether it was Wham!, Run DMC, Culture Club, and Michael Jackson, there is always a good song to listen to from that era. I was born in 1983 but my aunt, who was one of my main babysitters, was a teenager in that era and all of that music was her favorite. I even love the fashion, things like acid-washed jeans and leggings. It was an awesome, expressive time, much like today is in different ways.

I'm not really a big fan of 80s music but i did grow up around that era. Of the list that you mentioned, I think I only know careless whisper. haha, and also i guess all the richard clayderman songs. Like Nothing's gonna change my love for you.

I am an 80's music fan myself. Because most of my friends are much older than I am, they cannot for the life of them see why. Funny how I did not become interested when I was growing up in the late 80's into the 90's, but was introduced to it by a friend who at the time was going through a craze for 80's music. I remembered a few of the songs from my childhood but never really took note because when I was little, I listened only to country... Anyway, yes, I love occasional trips down nostalgia lane, especially when it comes to music and other aesthetic styles that I had developed a taste for. It is quite normal for me to play at least one 80's song daily... along with my country, classical, jazz, new age, world genres... that lot will give most people indigestion!

You said it Noy, that music is good and it does take me back. Much better than the music from the decade after that -_-.
I don't have a favorite, but a lot of favorites I listened to.
I'm probably going to hit the music thanks to this discussion.

Hi Aidah! I love the 80's music too, it brings back lovely memories when I listen to it. It was good music. I must admit though, that the 70's was my era!

hi noyida, 'salam ma'al hijrah' to you...
yeah... i luvvvv the 80's music as well... guess we belong to the same 'era'...
remember Duran2, Nick Kershaw, Rick Astley... i think the 80's music scene was the best..
maybe because "We Were Young" (Laura Branigan, remember ??)
great thing is... my husband who is born in the same year, also enjoys the same kind of music as i do... and sometimes.. the 'old songs' play on the radio... we both will sing to it like when we were young.. and get the kidz laughing at us....
peace!

I love the 80's. I grew up in the 80's, graduated in "89. Every once in a while I will get in the mood to listen to the 80's. It does bring by memories and feelings, and the best thing they were good memories... (the good 'ol days!) When I hear an 80's song, I can almost remember what I was doing then or where I was. I loved the 80's Whitney Houston (wanna dance with somebody), Careless whisper, Old Madonna songs, Journey, etc...
