I do not watch Oprah, and I cannot ascertain how this book works. It sounds like the "Name it and Claim it" sect that has lured people to believe that they can get money by wishing it and to praying for it. It does not tell what god one should pray to or ask for your wish. I get an idea that she is not asking God for help. It sounds more like New Eastern Philosophy.

Actually, I read it, but not because it was on Oprah (didn't even know it was on), I read it because my Doctor told me to read it. See my full response on #13.

I have this book on my PC and I listen to it often.
You can get the audio download here and listen to it
while you are doing other things.
There is more to this at this link, just scroll down to see
more of "The Secret" like the Universal Check.

I heard about it a few months ago. I have heard it is somewhat controversial in its scope. Since I have not read it I cant really say anything about it.

I saw the reviews for it on Amazon.com and most of the recent ones were pretty bad, so now I'm tempted to read a bit of it and see if they are right. Most of the things celebrities get involved with seem to be to be rip-offs, but some of the things the reviewers say she is saying in this book are true, in my opinion, but certainly no secret. I fully believe, however, in one of the supposed premises which is that our own negative thought precede many of the bad things that happen to us. Some say that is a heartless or ruthless way of thinking, but in my view it is simply common sense and taking personal responsibility.

I found the book a little hard to read. My brother and one of my friends swear by it, and have used the principles successfully. I am told to watch the film first, and then the book would be easier to read.

I read this book just recently. I had been skeptical of it, since it had been celebrated by Oprah. But a friend asked me if I wanted to read it and I thought I should at least do that before I panned it. I was really surprised how much I liked it and understood it! I had been taught these principles long ago, but life often gets in the way, and I had forgotten them. It's a great book to show you how to change your attitude toward life and work toward your goals.

Yes i have heard of this book and i have seen the film about the secret. There's also a book called what the bleep do we know. It's a little bit the same.It shows how you can be happy with positive thinking and acting. It's really hard to change your mind into positive, but it's worth the try.

I read the book, there is also a movie and there is a journal. The book inspired me to be clever and get my current job, to see possibilities instead of inpossibilities. It's wonderful.

I'm sorry I have not heard of this book but i'm not big on celebrities and such. They are people like me that have an incredible talent. Honestly I couldn't do what they do. I'm way to shy but i love what they do for the world.

I have seen this book around for atleast a month or longer, but have not had a chance to read it. The cover looks avery interesting, but not sure if the inside is the type of book I will like. Eventually I will read it, and then kick myself for waiting so long, if it turns out to be as good as the hype claims it to be. :)
