Over the past few months I started to cut back on a few things and then I found out about all the great things you can do with white distilled vinegar! Here's some of the things I use it for:
Cooking:
Freshening wilted veggies by soaking them in cold water and tablespoon of vinegar.
Keep eggs from cracking when boiling by adding a few teaspoons of vinegar to the water.
Vinegar is a good meat tenderizer, especially with the tougher cuts of meats, you can use it in a marinade or in the slowcooker.
Cleaning:
I use an everyday spray 1:1 vinegar and water, it's cheap, works wonders and not toxic!
In the bathroom you can use full strength vinegar to kill germs. Then wipe dppwn with a damp cloth.
Also use it to disinfect baby toys, thwn wipe down with a damp cloth.
Laundry:
I add it to my rinse cycle instead of fabric softner.
When I forget about a load of laundry and it gets that smell to it, I run it through the rinse cycle again with about 1 1/2 cups vinegar added.
Also I add it to my whites instead of bleach, it's gentler on the clothes and keeps the bright.
I'm sure many of you have other uses for vinegar? What are some of your best uses for it?

There are so many ways to use vinegar. If you have cats you can use 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water to clean up any kitty messes. I also use it for my all purpose cleaner.
Mix vinegar, baking soda and borax in a bucket of water you have a great floor cleaner.

Your welcome
Another idea: For your laundry use Oxy Clean, Borax and your softner. This all I use in my laundry. It works wonders.

If you take 1 cup grated zote (you can find a bar in walmart in the laundry isle), 1/2 cup borax, 1/2 cup baking soda and run it thru your food processor it makes a great laundry detergent. Then use vinegar in a downy ball for softner. It only costs me about $5.00 a year for laundry supplies this way.

I use white vinegar quite often for everyday cleaning. If you have lime deposits on your faucets or vanity, it works just as well as the poisonous lime cleaners and it is not harmful. Yes and when you rinse the sink, it cleans the pipes too.
It is also great for cleaning your coffee pot, makes it sparkling clean and the dishwasher too. Just run a cycle with vinegar and then one with just water. All the lime and "yellow" will disappear.
And for you poached egg lovers, add a little white vinegar to the water (a tablespoon or two) and your eggs will look perfect, not spreading in the water. It doesn't affect the taste of the eggs at all.

I love using all-natural cleaners like vinegar and baking soda. Using soda and vinegar in your drain, followed several minutes later by boiling water is supposed to clean pipes.
I'd never heard of using it for wilted veggies. I'll also have to try it in my laundry. Thanks!

I think it does wonders for health reasons too. It is supposed to neutralize your natural stomach acids so you dont get heartburn so much. I dont understnd how acid plus acid makes less acid, but if it works it works.
