will you abandon the job you're interested in for a boring job with twice salary

If there was a chance that I could catch up to the salary of the other job in the interesting job then I would probably stick around but if it was going to take a long time or if it wasn't going to happen then I would definitely take the job with more money, and then I would just trying to find something that interested me at the new job...and besides, with more money I could have more interesting things at work so that when I got home from the boring job I could enjoy my life :)

i would most definately take the job with the higher salary.even if it was just for a few years just to catch up finacially,then when i could afford to i would go back to the job i liked.cheers sue

i don't think it would be a nice idea. because though the job pays 2x your salary you will not enjoy it and because of that you will not perform well will will also affect you future appraisal. then promotion will be hard for you. if you enjoy your job you can make it better everyday and later because you're inspired later you'll get promoted and have same salary i.e. 2x

With most things in life, I can't say for sure either way, but I would have to seriously consider it. A boring job can be made more exciting, but at least with the extra money you could make your life more exciting (unfortunately in some cases, money does buy happiness). It's a lot easier to generate excitement than to generate more money.

Twice the Salary implies i have to live half the life as a slave to some damn employer. Why not?

Wow, that's a tempting offer. I probably would take the higher salary job because right now my situation is a financial disaster.

I don't like working anyway. So, if I've to choose, I'll go for the money. And maybe consider doing part time in something I like. That gives me more $$.

With our present economic situation today? I might say.. yes, I will do the boring job if the salary is good. What would I get for the job of my interest if the pay is not enough for my needs? I would force myself to love the boring job inorder to survive.
