Help! I'm having problems with my computer. I'm not too good with computers but I know there is a problem. For about a month now different ads has been popping up on my computer screen. Also the bottom tool bars disappears and sometimes it comes back. My virus software is up to date and I have a virus software package that suppose to protect the computer from everything. But apparently it is not. I scan my computer every two days. I also have downloaded Yahoo anti-spy software thinking maybe that would help but it has not. Can anyone please give me suggestions on what I should do to try to stop this problem?

For anti-virus Try AVG 7.5 for the scan and realtime protective scans Try Antivir again, does the scan and has realtime (You can have two, but do not run them simultaneously, especially on full scan) For anti-spyware Try AVG Anti-Spyware Try AdAware 2007 Try Spyware Terminator for realtime protection Run the anti-virus scan then run the anti-spyware scan. If nothing comes up then try restarting your computer and putting it into safe mode. Run the scans from safe mode to have a better chance of detecting objects. You may also want to try an anti-rootkit offered through AVG http://free.grisoft.com/doc/29116/us/frt/0 Watch what you are doing with internet time and site visiting. Be suspicious of pop ups, especially drive-by downloads (they'll try to instantly install software on the machine). Be suspicious of download areas, P2P, weird sites, weird links. You may want linkscanner lite or McAfee site advisor to help check links out before hand.
