Lights of a different kind

I was trying to get some nice shots of freshly falling snow on my deck railing and my christmas lights. This was about midnight when I was doing this and cold out. I set the camera on night scene settings with a verl slow F stop. The red trail is the tail lights of a passing car. I love the effects of this in photos. I only wanted top share my enthusiasm here is all. Thanks in advance all. Guess I was on as photo trip the last couple nights.

Yup those are the tail lights of a passing car. I never enter the photos in contests etc. Don't wish to really for some reason.

It would be very hard getting photos of freshly falling snow in the dark, even with lights on. You must be a very keen photographer to be out at midnight in the cold.
You ended up with a real interesting shot./ I left a comment.

I did have the proch light on for some lighting. The camera was set on the railing as well to keep it steady. Thanks for the compliments as well as the comments on all my photos.

This is another evidence of your photo enthusiasm. Not many people (apart from nature photographers trying to get that one elusive shot of some wild heron i suppose) would be out in the wintry cold at midnight doing such heroics.

I would have to agree that the pic is lights of a different kind, the way you captured tail lights of a passing car is neat the way it streaked across the picture.
