neena, funny that you can still remember since 7 years old? thanks for all the info about your place. most people like white rice better unless you give it a chance... it takes longer to cook also.

hi. i'm here in an ordinary town of sariaya here in quezon province Philippines. well our town since just an ordinary town, we only have limited kinds of food supplies here compare to Manila of course. In manila you can find all of the needed supplies for different types of cuisines including native ones unlike here in our town...
the last time i have eaten brown rice is when i was 7 years old. now i am already in my 25 years of age. i am the one who purchase our food and i rarely found brown rice and if there is any is more expensive compare to white rice...

Hi,there,cliff,
We eat White rice here..Actually brown rice is much healther than the White rice it contains more nutrition..
I remembered once my teacher told me that "most of the time the fruit or vegetables or the grains with more deep color contains more nutrition than the ones with light color "maybe it is a little bit absolute ....I'd rather believe it is true..;-)
Molly;)

hi Molly, yes brown rice is much more healthy. White rice is mostly "filler" food. I will remember the darker fruit theory, maybe time to research on internet. I have some "red cargo rice" here too, it is reddish color.
Happy day to you.. time to sleep for me.

hi cliffcliff!
yeah, i like brown rice too, however, we still eat the white rice because it is much cheaper in our country. it used to be that brown rice was considered the rice for poor people, but when it was discovered to have health benefits, they started producing it organically, hence the increase in price because it is now considered a high value crop.
good day! :-)

I like different kind of rice. But on occasions only. Because I like bread better. But if rice is on the tale, and I haven't eat it for a long time, surely I will eat it no matter what color it is. lol
