I am a Chinese and English isn't my first language, too. Besides, Chinese and English are two totally different languages. I try to learn it well as English is the important language in the world. Your English isn't very bad and I can understand you. I suggest you sometimes to use short and simple words so that others will understand you and meanwhile you can express yourself easily.

As with most things you get better with practice. I understood you. Also you type in English well enough to get your point across. Perhaps you ay ask if anyone in technical support speaks in your native language. I think you are doing fine.

I was not here a year ago to read your first post but I believe that you are doing wonderful. Don't lets those in Tech. support bring you down. You can only take one step at a time, one day at a time and in this case one word at a time. You are doing great.

You're pretty much understandable, so don't let that thought get in your way. Do as what you feel like doing here, express yourself in the best way you can. I am not from an english-speaking country, I was also hesitant during the first time I joined this site. Bust as I go along, reading and posting, I have managed to learn in using the english language and understanding how to use such words. Mylot is a good site to practice and understand the english language, as we are all entitled to participate in each and every discussion that we know we can take part of. Most of the members here don't mind about grammars or grammatical errors, as long as they can visualize whatever it is that you wish to express..

I don't know more than a few words in a second language so I think that you are doing really good since you wrote a whole long post. English can be very difficult and is made even harder because of all the regional dialects and words. I thought you were easy to understand in this post. I studied a few other languages years ago and the way words were placed in sentences seemed backwards compared to English so I'm sure it must be confusing to figure out where to place English words. Just keep reading and writing in English and speaking English as often as you can and I'm sure your English will be very good in a short time.

I guess so, English is the only language that is easily understand by majority of the population worldwide. I, too, had hard times learning the English language, for my language is Filipino. But with strong determination to master that language, I studied hard. In fact, I took up English as my major in College.

Your english is not too bad after all.You can improve your english by reading. It is all bout putting your thoughts and feelings in words and then presenting it to some one .I call it mind sharing. The more you explore , the better you will get.Good luck my friend and btw I understand your discussion completely there is nothing to feel bad about since english is not your mother tongue .

your English is good enough for current generation like me, but I've seen some changes in the population here in my country. Back then noone talked in English, but now when you go to a mall or public places it's no strange thing to see a mom talking English to her 2 year old child, heck even playgroups (one level below kindergarten) teach English and Chinese these days.

My wife is from the Philippines and I have had Mexican friends and your English is understandable. My wife took a class in the local Catholic Church Mother House..for retired nuns and learned "English for the second language" and it helped her out a lot. Plus she worked with a lot of American co-workers who all spoke to her in English. None of our neighbors are Filipino or Spanish so she had to learn from the American people. Louella has spent six years as a nanny in Tokyo, Japan working for people who mostly spoke Englsih.. So pratice your English whenever you can..have fun with it by playing games like literati and scrabble. Good luck

The Rain in spain falls mainly on the plane. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your county. It is better to try and fail then never have tried at all. It is better to light one candle then to curse the darkness.

English is our second language, too. But I am not good in it either. lol It is the subject that I found hard during my university days. However, I manage to speak it even most of the times, I have wrong grammar, pronunciation and even spelling.

You are not the only one. I also speak English as a second language - I learn it at school. I'm sure that if you participate a lot in mylot you will dramatically improve. You must keep on reading well-written posts by native speakers and this way you can really improve.

Hi Croquetilla, English isn't my mother tongue too. And I've a similar history like you and this site seems very usefully to me. Where are you from? What is your mother tongue? And about tecnical support don't understand you is because sometime they are so dumb =)
