includes cornbread to go with the chili I'm making for dinner. A 123 cake with orange glaze. No-bake cookies and chocolate brownies. I'm looking forward to baking this morning to help warm up the house. Does anyone else bake to help heat the house?

You're making me so-o-o hungry, I have a medical test tomorrow and I have to fast today. Yes, I have baked to warm up the house. It's great way to get warm inside and out. I love corn bread and chili. What is 123 cake? Orange glaze sounds so yummy! I also love no-bake cookies and some kinds of brownies.

I hope your tests come out good. The chili was wonderful last night. 123 cake is a really easy cake to make. I got the recipe from Hillbilly housewife.com. She has alot of great recipes and tips there.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. After my tests, this weekend, I'll check it out, but right now, I'm looking for non-food discussions, my stomach is really growling.

MMMMMMMM... I'm coming to your house next Wednesday. LOL! Yes, I bake to warm the house, and if it is not yet warmed when I am done, I leave the oven open a bit after I turn it off. I need to pick a day to bake. Thanks for the idea.

I have a scheduled day for all my chores...Monday is laundry day....Tuesday I clean the house...Wednesday I bake and make out next weeks menus and my grocery list...Thursday I go grocery shopping, wash the sheets, and straighten up the house...Friday mornings I cook food for the weekend... I work Friday afternoon 4 to 10pm. I work Saturdays 10 to 10 and Sundays 10 to 8 so i have no time for cooking or chores on those days. Having a set schedule helps me get everything done.

I agree, If i bake in the summer it is really early in the morning. I want a solar oven that cooks outside.

MMMM...your making me hungry. I love to bake in the winter time. Your right it helps to heat up the house and you don't roast while your doing it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Working a full time job doesn't allow for me to have baking days! I am home very little, so that doesn't leave too much time to do anything besides sleep usually! Your baking list sounds delicious. Do you time everything to bake at the same time, or do you bake them individually?

I start with one thing and then while the first is baking I mix up the next. That way the oven is ready and warm. I bake whatever takes the longest last.

Baking really helps warm up the house on a cold winters day. I might make some bread later. How do you make a 123 cake?

I have been known to bake chicken & stuff to help warm up the kitchen on cold days. As for baking like you do, no. I'm not the one to be handling stuff like that.
