nope i have not but i have had friends and colleagues who did. apparently they didn't like the roads which were way too congested and cluttered and they could not really move around safely. also the drivers tended to start and stop and they would get motion sickness due to the jerkiness.
on the other hand, I've heard that mumbai is a cultural oasis and there are so many wonderful movies that come out from it. i love bollywood actresses and my favourite is ashwarya rai - sorry if i spelt it wrong it's not easy! :)

I visited Mumbai in February, 2006 for the first time. The first thing I noticed about Mumbai was the Slum while landing at the airport. I felt really bad about that and was really shock to see that the government is taking no steps to stop this. This can cause any mis happening because the residential area should be far away form the airport.
Then I felt a smell in the air. That was fish, smell of fish. This was my first time to visit any coastal area. I don't know whether it is there at every beach side countries.
I am not criticizingly Mumbai, but this is a first time experience of a coastal region. But I loved the time when I was in Mumbai. I found that the people are really very simple without any show offs and were speaking in Hindi with a different style. Chalne ka kya!! Apun bola!! etc. Watching this in a movie is different from experiencing. I wanted to speak in there style and tried it too. If was a real fun knowing different culture.
I visited Gate Way of India, had a ferry ride, and the most interesting was the local train ride. Oh my God! it was really cool!!
I wanted to see any film star there not was not so lucky. I saw DJ Akeel and Roshan Abbas at the airport. I wanted to stay for more time but as it was a business trip I was there only for two days.
