Do you always add tag words to your responses or skip it sometimes?

I've noticed that most of the time the writer of the discussion has already put as many tag words as are allowed and mine wouldn't fit any way so I just click on skip and don't bother. The only time I add them is to my discussions and make sure I put as many as I can to keep others from "trolling" them which happens a lot here. I really never understood the whole idea of putting them in our responses.
Do you understand why responses need to include tag words? Do you use them with every one of your responses? Do you think it makes a difference in any way?

I sometimes put tags in if I think of one that the others didnt put in. Alot of times I Just skip it because I'm not sure what to put in there. I feel bad about skipping though because I feel as though I'm not doing what I am suppose to. I dont understand tags anyways

Tag words are supposed to be a way for us to find discussions and responses that we have made but I don't see how that would work not to mention we have those options in the column on the left any way.

I've found that adding the most amount of tag words to my discussion is a good thing to do since I have had the "mature content" added to some of them from the trolls around here.

I always tag my discussions, as you wouldn't believe some of the poor choice of tags added to some of my earlier discussions. I still have one that my daughter couldn't find even after I told her all my tag words, which I had only used 5. She wanted to know why I used certain words.

If I'm starting the discussion, I definitely add tags. They help people find your discussion. If I'm responding, I'll add tags if I can add some that are relevant and haven't been used already.

I've never used tag words to find my discussions since there is the option on the left of the page to see all of my discussions so the tag words way seems to be the hard way to go around it.

I confess that I dont always tag. It seems just to much extra work.I dont know if they really make a difference. If I was sure they added more pennies I might make more of an effort to tag things.

I think someone told me one time that adding tag words does make a difference in our earnings here but that's something we will never know will we?

I post them if I can think of words to put that have an importance to them. With starting discussions, I always post tags so other people can find them. As for responding to people's discussion, I put some if it's a substantial response that deals with news, items, and such. Not if it's just like a one liner response, which I hardly give cause I want to give the best answer possible to other people.

I always have a hard time finding the right tag words when responding to a discussion. For me that's the hardest part of mylot.

I think that even though you cannot see them, the discussion can be searched by those tags, so I always add at least one. Some people think that improves your earnings, as well.

I still say why not just look under the 'discussions I have started' or your friends discussions when you are looking for a specific discussion? Looking with tag words seems like such a hard way to do it.

Adding them to my responses is always the hardest thing for me to do. I can never think of the right words.

You are right about the skip button being there and I have often wondered about that.

I find that tag words can be quite helpful in attracting responders to a discussion, ctry. I do, sometimes, find that tag words can be misleading. I try and keep my tag words relevant to the subject and what it is about. Tag words can influence my decision as to whether or not I want to respond to a particular discussion.

I must be missing something here because I've never looked for a discussion using tag words. I guess that's just me.

I like to add tags when it is a funny Post because I have a good sense of humor. Sissygrl always gets a kick out of them, but most of the time my tags don't go through and I never know why. If I am the first response, they always go, but on later responses they rarely do. I think you get points for tagging.

That is weird that your tag words don't go through sometimes, have you checked into that? I too have heard that adding tag words has an effect on our earnings.

I really didn't see the benefits of doing it but sometimes I put something silly in it or if I have a quick after-thought after I posted something or a bad misspelling when it is too late.

There are so many mixed feelings about tag words. It seems a lot of people use them to find discussions or their responses.

i only put tags on when i think the discussion needs it and when they have not put what i think are the right tags on.
i am not sure wether the tags i have put on replace the existing ones or add to the ones that are already on there.
can some one clear this up?
i always mark the responses that i think are good with the plus sign and i never mark anyone negative.
if youve got nothing good to say dont say anything at all sort of thing...(with the plus and minus sign).
you have to put the right words in, and usually putting words that are in the title of your discussion help alot i have found.

I have found some what I considered mature content not tagged that way and always make sure to put that in whether I respond or not.

I am fairly new and didn't realize you could skip this bit so I have just been putting in a word from the title as a tag word as thought that was I had to do before my comment was submitted. I know now but will probably still use a tag word when I submit. Whats tolling.

Trolling is what the members of mylot call other members who are giving them trouble here like adding "mature content" to discussions that are not or purposely starting arguments in discussions. They also give their targeted member a minus on all of their discussions. Basically they are not nice people.

I skip them always in responses. I don’t really understand their significance or purpose unless I have started the discussion. keep others from "trolling" them…what does this mean? I have not come across this in any of my discussions (or maybe since I don’t understand the meaning, I could not notice it).

I tag my discussions, probably not as much as i should, but i make sure i use at least one word. And my responses, if i can think of something funny, or if there is no other tags i will try to come up with something. I often skip that part though. I dont think that it makes a difference either way if you tag or not, cause most people dont SEARCH for discussions i dont think. . I never have anyways.

I almost tag every discussion except if i really don't know how to tag a discussion.
I think they are needed if you want to search for a discussion and subject.
