Are you a spender or a saver?

My husband and I make plenty of money, but we spend as little as possible and watch our savings grow. It has almost become a hobby to see how much we can save. Is anyone else like this?

When we first married, we hardly had enough to pay bills, much less save anything. Even though we couldn't save, we did keep life insurance in effect...just in case. Now that we're older, kids are grown and married, we are able to save quite a bit toward our retirement. He also has a pension he can start drawing monthly when he retires next year. We put $150 monthly into a Roth IRA for me. We still go out to supper at least once a week and order supper in if I'm too tired to cook. It's nice to be able to save.

Definitely a saver. I don't like spending money unless I have to.
