My Pain

Well as most of you know I was rushed into Hospital last week with severe Pain in my Stomach chest and Lungs
Well last Night I did not feel good again stayed of the Computer
At 1am the Pain set in again
I could not call 999 as there was no one for Gissi and he knew I was in Pain till 4am I was up and I was crying and my breathing was nearly non existing because my Lungs felt like they where clamped
Anyway eventually the Pain eased and I got to sleep
I have been to the Doctor today and he was not happy that they did not do an Ultra sound Scan on me in the Hospital
He said at the sounds of what I was telling him, the swelling of my Stomach and feeling my Stomach, I do have some colic but also he thinks it is my Gallbladder which a couple of Friends have mentioned on here to me if they had checked that
He has now put in for an Urgent Ultra sound scan and given me some Pain killers
He says the reason my breathing is that bad affected is that my Lungs are to weak to deal with it, Pain affects the Lungs anyway and a Healthy Person would also get a bit of Pain round the Lungs but my Lungs are the Lungs of an 70 year old I have been told and they can not cope
Anyway if it is the Gallbladder I will have to have it removed
I will keep everyone informed what is happening
Hugs and Love to you all

You know that you will be in my prayer gabs. If it were me I'd be so furious with that hospital for not thinking of giving you an Ultra Sound Scan WHILE YOU WERE there!! This could have avoided a lot of the pain you are feeling now, and could have been discovered a week ago instead of prolonging this. Well I hope your doctor can get that scan as fast as possible now and can find out once and for all if it is your gallbladder.
Poor Gissi he must be beside himself with worry wondering what is wrong with his mum...yes, animals can be so perceptive and can know when something is wrong.I hope you can sleep better tonight and without too much pain--
(((hugs)))

I am furious dear Friend believe me I really am but I can't do anything about it
I have Pain killers now for it but my Lungs have taken the blunt side of it
The breathing is not good right now
But the good News they are clear the Doctor says it is because they are taking a lot of train and that is why
I hope to as the Tablets I have make me sleep but I will only take them when the Pain sets in
I had a restless sleep but that was because of breathing so I am going to lie down again
I feel so drained and exhausted
Hugs to you

Oh dear I'm sorry to hear you are going through all of this. I was all day and last night dealing with a migrain head ache - but like you was off the computer or we could have kept each other company in our pain.
I am feeling a bit better this morning and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that you will feel better and the doctors will be able to help you.

I know, remember my beloved Zeus? He was an outdoor cat but whenever I was feeling bad he was always around me, bless him! And mum's cat Meg won't leave mum alone when she's not well and follows her everywhere, animals have a sixth sense when their masters are not well! I know Gissi will be sense this too and animals worry in their own way too, but reflect it in different ways x

Gabs, I'm so sorry to hear that you went through all this alone. I had that problem too, in September 2006, and it took them three and a quarter hours to get me to the hospital. By the time I got there and they had checked me for diabetes and one thing and another, the pain had gone, but I had x-rays, not ultrasound. They were supposed to send me an appointment for an ultrasound but it never came, and luckily, I have managed to avoid another attack by following a certain ritual at mealtimes.
Right... you know my mobile number. If this happens again in the night and there is nobody else around, I want you to call me. One way or another, I will get a ride to you and be with you in a couple of hours. It's no trouble for a good friend, so please don't hesitate. You need to think of yourself as well as Gissy because one time, it might be just that little bit more serious than you think. So, promise me, that's what you'll do, Sweetheart. I don't care what time of day or night it is, and if you can't get an answer, keep calling until you wake me up!
Right, telling-off over :)! I do hope they can get it sorted for you soon, and that they'll find a way of doing the op, so that it puts the minimum of strain on your lungs. I think they are more able to do that in this day and age. My friend had a kidney stone removed by keyhole surgery, so perhaps it can be done with your condition in mind. Do try not to worry about it too much, Gabs, but at the same time, make sure you're doing the best you can for you. I know you love Gissi and vice versa, but you don't want to leave him alone for a long period of time, when a trip to the hospital might shorten your time away.
Love and hugggs and Brightest Blessings for a speedy recovery. Love you. xxx

I will do as I have to admit I was scared to my breathing was really bad I thought it was going to stop and trying to regulate and deal with the pain was awful
Thank you for that my dear Friend I am hoping now that I have Pain killers it will ease it
It is taking it out on my Lungs though as my Breathing is still hard but the Lungs are clear, the Doctor said it is because they are dealing with a lot at the moment and to just keep taking the Inhaler as in the Blue one
I love you and lots of Love and Hugs your way xxxxxxx

Yes, I guess it's like anything else in or on your body. If it takes too much of a battering, it might not be diseased, but it will eventually give up trying to hold the problem at bay, because it's weakened.
Let's hope the meds ease that, Sweetheart, but don't forget I'm here. ok?
Love and hugs. xxx

I'm sorry to hear you are going through so much pain but happy that you did get to see your doctor. It does sound like gall bladder to me and am surprised that you weren't ordered an Ultra Sound sooner than this. Of course that will tell the whole story. I will be watching for updates and putting you in my prayers at night.

Oh sweetie...I hope the pain killers are helping you a bit. I so wish I could be there to help you with all of this. As usual, I am way behind on everything, so I didn't even realize you had been rushed to the hospital last week. Well I hope that doctor gets this all taken care of immediately and I hope he jumps down the throats of the hospital staff for not getting things done right the first time. Take care hon. Love you lots!

Oh, dear gabs! You have to get this done RIGHT AWAY! The pain from the gall bladder is so intensely painful and the onset is very sudden. Sorry to tell you--and I do not wish to alarm you--but it is very urgent you get this attended to right away. My hubby had a very intense pain two years ago, refused to go to the hospital. After about three hours of my constant nagging, and I guess he couldn't take the pain anymore, he asked me to take him to the hospital. It was his gallbladder and it was close to bursting. The doctor was not happy with him for not coming right away, but there was really nothing before this acute attack that even indicated he had a gallbladder problem. The operation took five hours!--instead of the three hours that it would have normally taken had the infection/inflammation not made it such a difficult and delicate operation. Can you get the kids to look after Gissi? If I were there I'd take the Elf in a heartbeat! But please---GO, GO, GO. If it is your gallbladder you can't afford to dilly dally. I'll be praying for you...and the Elf. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{gabs/Elf}}}}}}}}}}}}}}]]

It is all in hand I have to have the Ultra sound first
And yes the Pain is very intense which does not help my Lungs
I will ask my Friend if she can stay with Gissi if I have to have this done and I am sure that she will try and figure
The Kids are working and live 3 hours away I am sure that my Friend will do her best
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Hugs to you)))))))))))))))))))))))))) and lots of Love

Wow! Thanks for best response, dear gabs! I had not had the chance to check because of all the shovelling we have had to do--two blizzards in less than four days and one more due Friday. Hugs to you and the Elf!

I am sorry you are having to go through this. I had my gall bladder removed 8 years ago. I was pregnant with my son when it started acting up so you can imagine how terrible the pain was having both things going on at the same time. I was miserable. I know how you were feeling. I would get it out as soon as you can. My surgery was not all that pleasant because my gall bladder and liver were fused together and they did not know it until I was in surgery. I would ask for another ultrasound to check for something like that just to be safe.

Hi gabs I really hope they find out what is causing your pain so they can do sometime about it. I have some problems with my gallbladder and it can really hurt sometimes luckily I haven't had an episode so bad that I had to go to the hospital yet usually takeing tylenonl and laying flat has worked so far.
I really hope you get feeling better and if you have to have your gallbladder out I wish you a speedy recovery.

Gabs, I am so sorry, but if it is your gallbladder at least they can do something for you. You may even feel better. I have had friends tell me that that is the worst pain they ever had, from their gall bladder.

That is so scary, being in all that pain and alone. Poor Gissi. Such worry. I hope it is your gallbladder. My sister nad mother felt so much better after they had theirs removed. Of course, you are in so much more pain and difficulty breathing just adds to it. You're a brave lady, you know that?

Hi sweets.. Didn't I tell you to take care of yourself?? If it is your gall bladder, try applying a heating pad or other warm towels maybe to the area. I had tiny gall stones passing once. The pain was so intense, and I got nauseated. I went to the bathroom and never came out. Hubby came for me, by then, I could see and hear but could not move nor speak. My heartbeat dropped to 18 beats a minute. At the hospital they thought it was a urinary tract infection.. 3 hospital trips later they found the stones... watch what you eat, even bread can effect it. And try the heat. It helped a little while I waited for my surgery. Let us know how you are doing !!

I tried to look after myself lol I really did
Hugs to you
