I am really busy, I mean I have lots of deadlines... so many things are demanding my attention... but i need to lose weight. i need to exercise. i need to squeeze it in my regular day. So I started a 30-minute exercise time since monday. I do it in the morning, before or after my morning devotions, then exercise, then take a warm bath, then breakfast, then work. So here I am now, in front of my computer. i think it is pretty good. and throughout the day, i drink lots of water so that way, i have reason to stand up from my computer and go to the restroom. then along the way, i stretch my arms, so just move around to expend more calories. after lunch and dinner, i also go up and down the stairs. oh i hope, after another week, i can tip the scale. i hope this will give you an idea. God bless you all! and take care always:-) ps. by the way, i am also trying to control my diet. my exercise won't do me any good until i will watch what i eat. ;-)

I hope I will be able to exercise too. My problem is that I cannot wake up early in the morning. I have to be in the office by 8:30am so it means that if i have to exercise I should wake up at around 6am coz I have to leave from our house before 8am. I really cannot do it in the morning. However, come this Feb I am planning to enroll in a gym. I will be going there after work which is more convenient for me. And if you will be asking me why do I have to wait for Feb to come, that is because I will be waiting for my salary to pay for the membership and monthly fee. :)

hi raja! that is a good idea. and of course, you shall have to wait for your salary. it is unwise to enrol if you can't afford it. but while waiting what you can do is, to remember the rule : eat less, move more. while i was still working in an office, i make sure that i get off the public transport a few blocks away from my office. that way, i could still walk. then i would drink lots of water throughout the day, so that i will be forced to stand up and go take a pee. then while doing so, i will do some stretching the restroom. just be creative. expend those extra calories! :-) way to go!

You know what I am also doing the best I can. I just walk from my house to the plaza where I get the public transport to my office. Then I would go down like a block away and walk to my office. I would do the same in the afternoon. during work I stand up and walk to the printer by myself and doesn't ask the messenger to get what I have printed. So for the mean time that's my exercise hehe. OOhh and my weekend play with my kids too. :)

Those are exactly the things that I have been planning to do for a long time now. LOL! I just simply could not find the time and when I do find the time, I could find the mood and to get the two to happen at one time is the problem that I am having at the moment. I guess when I added up the two problems together, the result would be motivation and therefore, I do need to get motivated but that is quite hard as I am more motivated to do other things than exercising and dieting. LOL!

You don't have to exercise for a half hour straight. You can break it up into three 10 minute intervals. It still counts and that is what I do. I don't have the time to dedicate 30-45 minutes straight. But 10 minutes here and there I can.

Hello spoiled311, That's good for you. At least you have the determination to lose some weights. I put on weight when I was in my late 20's. I just broke up and spent much time at home, alone. So, I ate a lot too. I started to go to the gym and did some exercise after I realized I put on too much weights. I felt uncomfortable and a bit shy when people around me kept asking about my weight gain. I managed to lose a few kilos and was very happy with it. Now, I just control my diet. Unfortunately, I can easily put some kilos back. That makes me to be extra careful with my food intake.
