It depends on the age. Teenagers are supposed to get atleast 8 hours of sleep. Whereas, ex-teenagers can go around with 6-7 hours of sleep. I get around with 6 hours of sleep. But in times of crisis, like exams (lol), 4 hours is all that I can manage. It's a wonder how our body adapts to a said situation.

For a good night's rest I need about 7-8 hours in order to feel like I got enough rest.

6 to 8 depends on what I had done during the day before and what my mental state was...sometimes with mental stress our bodies might require more sleep and of course if you are ill you will want to sleep more.

A good night's rest? Is there really such a thing? I usually get between 6 - 7 hours a night. I am very active and it is sometimes hard to get to sleep, so I try to stay up till I get sleepy. I have read though that scientists now say 8 hours is not the norm anyway for people so who is to say what is normal. I get by with what I get. I wish it was more most of the time, but I think it depends alot on your own bodyclock. Each person is different.
