I do and I go and get them for free, every week My grand-children and I go and get Movies from the Library. It doens't cost anything, just bring them back on time, I had owed 30 dollars on some movies that I had got, and the other day
I went to this one Library in the Surburb, in Euclid, Oh. I wanted to pay something on my find, so we could get more Movies, The Librarian told me if I paid $15.00 on my fine instead of 30.00 I would be cleared and wouldn't owe anything I thought that was nice of her, now where I normaly go I would have had to pay the whole fine, but they gave me a break, I thought that was nice. not only that they let you get more movies. To make a long story short, do you go to the Library and get Movies? sometimes they have good Movies.

Yes I have recieved that. I think it must be something new. I did notice that your discussion was included, congrats, that is cool. It said something about the top discussions, that is cool. Its too bad about the raise, I don't think you will get it, hehe. Oh well, you are stuck with us mylotters, no matter what the earnings are.

Did you get something in the Mail about Mylot digest, they have a few of the Mylotter on it with hot topics. I feel like I was on the front page because this discussion was in it, I am going to email it to you so you can see what I am talking about. I wonder do we get a raise for this? I don't think so. LOL.

No I dont. First gas prices are so high to drive to the nearest library, second I like the comfort of choosing my movies at home from the wide selection on Netflex. So the cost is not too much and I can keep them as long as it want plus I can watch instant movies on my PC.

I love checking out movies at the library. It seems that now all of them stock brand new films and the popular ones also, not just some from six years ago...
And plus, late fees are not as bad compared to the movie rental locations...

We dont have libraries here in PI where we can find movie..but we have lots of stalls selling out DVD copies of movies and theres lots of these that you can choose from. It will you $2 or less each copy. Thats where we go to find the latest movies considering how expensive watching movies in theaters these days!

I used to rent movies at the library until I didn't get some movies back on time I had 3 out and forgot I had them I took them back 5 days late I never went and got anymore movies then I tried to check a book out over a year later and they said I had a $150 fine to pay first I told them I would rather not check books out from there than pay that ridiculous of a fine. I have never been back.

Wow, that is quite funny, well you half to be more responsible, when something is not yours, you half to be responsible if you borrow it, that is why I had to pay the fine. I learned my lesson though.

Gosh, we do this all the time. Our library has not only old movies, but they have the new ones as soon as they're released. The new ones you can only keep for two days, and there is a two dollar charge, but after about a month it's free (so I usually wait till then.) Older movies you can keep out for a week, and some of them for 2 weeks (like instructional videos and stuff like that.)

I don't think you have to live in a district to get a library card for any of the libraries. I have one for Cleveland Public Library, Mentor, Geauga, and Madison. Every one of those libraries is in a different district, and a different county. I live way further into the suburbs. Where I live at it's a 45 minute drive to get as far as University Circle (by the VA hospital) and it's over 30 miles from here to there. You live on the West side, so it'd be even further, might not make it worth it (esp. with the prices of gas!!) Lots of times I get an interlibrary loan of books, like if I want a certain book and mine doesn't have it, they send to the Cleveland Library system and interloan it to my library, then the due dates change to correspond with where it was borrowed from. I know that works with books, but I'm not sure about video's and movies on that.

No I am on the Eatside like Eddy Rd. by 90 east
about 5 mins from Bratenal or Lakeshore. I could go to some of the surburbs here, like University hts, Cleveland Hts, South Euclid, I think the more places you go farther out you get better Movies. That would be a long way to go and get Movies, but I am everywhere, all over the different Counties, I told you I take guitar lesson in Orange, Ohio that is a long drive, I live 35 to 40 mins from there, so it dosn't matter to me about going somewhere far.

We used to do that but now we get all of our movies through Netflix and they mail them to us to watxh and then we mail them back. We get unlimited movies every month and only pay a flat $18.01 and there is never a late fee. You cam keep them as long as you want.
I haven't ever went to the library to get movies as of now.

Yeah. I don't go to the library much at all. I don't really like to read because I have to read something several times to remember what I just read.
Netflix sends me 3 movies at a time. I go online to their website, select my movies and put them in queue, which is my personal list, then they send me a movie each time I send one back. they pay postage both ways to and from my home. They provide the envelope. There are never any late fees either. Keep them as long as you like but you only get movies when you send some back and they send the next one on your list. If I send back today, I will get more the next day or the next day.

I never even knew one could rent videos from the library! How cool!
My husband has had a few charges in the past that the video places dropped. I always thought that was nice of them to do this.
We haven't rented movies in several months. I usually buy them nowadays when the price is low (under $10), especially if it's one the whole family can enjoy over and over again, anytime we want. :)

Yes, there is at least one library near me, though it is almost 10 miles away. Then again, everything is miles away from me. LOL I haven't been to the library since high school, so I had no idea they rented videos out. I'll try and check it out one of these days. Thanks for the heads up! :)

We borrow movies from the library all the time. New movies are 1.00 and old ones are free. We just borrowed 5 movies today in fact. It is so much cheaper than the video store.

I have done this too. When my kids were still home we would on rainy days go get a couple....that is how they got to see the classics like Sound of Music West Side Story, etc. Otherwise they might never had the opportunity to see them before they had the chance to pick their own which I am sure would have been more modern ones.

We do that occasionally but our libraries still charge rental for them. IT's not much though so it's better than from proper rental places or buying them. I think it's good that we can do this. I prefer to see films at the cinema but that's so expensive! It makes sense to wait a while and rent them for £1.50

I never went to the library to get movies. Do they have new releases there are is it older movies? That is a good idea although I don't want to bring my kids to the library just yet since they still like putting everything in their mouths still. I always wanted to take them to one of those toddler readings but I think I will have to wait until the youngest is 3. good post.

no i dont go out and get movies..insted i download movies via torrents..i think it is the best way to save money insted of spending a huge amount on entertainment...when i got to watch a movie..i download the torrent and the before i got to bed i keep the movie for download and the next morning the movie is downloaded in my system...i watch a lot of movies..so if i go ahead and start spending on movies i think i waill be spending a lot on money on my entertainment. now i dont spend a single penny on my entertainment when i use torrents...
