Do you have a regular bedtime or just go to bed whenever?

I have no reason to go to bed at any special time other than just being bored with the day and wanting to get it over with. Sometimes if I'm running out of milk or sugar for my morning coffe or low on cigarettes I'll go to bed early to conserve...lol and have enough for when I get up. There are other times when, since I'm a chain smoker that I actually start feeling sick to my stomach from smoking so I decide to go to bed just so I won't smoke any more. Usually once that clock hits 10:00 I'll take my sleep medication and I know I'll be out like a light within an hour.
What is your bedtime? Do you have a schedule that you stick by? Does it change on the weekend because of work or school?

I don't have a certain time that I go to bed. I have to be utterly exhausted before i lay down though or i sit and stare at the ceiling for hours. i'm a night owl usually which makes it a hard day when i have three kids i'm raising. Thanks for sharing this discussion and God bless

It's funny....when I had kids at home I was more of a night owl than I am now that I'm alone and it's easier to be one. I guess I had more to get done before I could go to bed back then.

Definitely...I am always finding more stuff that needs to be done, once i can actually get them in bed and relax. My mind goes 90 miles an hour after i have that time to myself, which makes it difficult for me to sleep...always thinking about what needs to be done then or the next day. I have a long way to go though before my children get out on their own. LOL! Thanks and God bless

I dont have any set time to go to bed or any set time to get up in the morning,so i go to bed whenever...I don't work and if i should fall asleep in my recliner and get a nap, then i might stay up to the wee hours of the night, and when i do that i might sleep until 9:00 in the morning.....I decided when i worked and had to get up early every morning that if i ever got to the point i did not have to work that i would not live on a schedule...I do not have a schedule for anything anymore..I just sleep when i want to and stay awake as long as i like, that is something i have looked forward to forever so i am going to enjoy it...

I'm not good at sticking to schedules. Even when I have to do something I have a hard time doing them. you should enjoy not having one if you always have had one.

I am usually up to 11:30...but sometimes I stay up much longer....
Usually my body is telling me when I am tired.
If I know that I can stay home all day next day, than I like to stay up longer at night...

Some nights I tell myself that I can stay up as late as I want to but I never make it past 11 for some reason. I used to be such a night owl and that has all changed.

I don't have any certain bedtime. I just go to bed when I get tired. It's almost midnight now and I'm very, very sleep. I'm going to make this my last post for the night. I have to get up and go see about up job in the morning, so I need to be rested.

My problem seems to be that I don't get tired but of course that is because I do very little during the day to tire me out.

Well,I used to have a bed time.I used to go to sleep by 10.30 but that ws while I was in school. But once I was in school,it is usually when I feel leepy but not before 10.30.But of late I have pulled together my sleeping habits and I have become a early sleeper and early riser.Well it is good to sleep eeraly and wake up a bit early. It certainly freshens up your mind.
As they say:
Early to sleep and Early to rise
kepps a man healthy, wealthy and wise

I am currently battling my body clock on this one *looks at time* it's 3.30am. Okay, so I'm on the computer keeping my mind working, not exactly productive for getting to sleep. But that was the problem, I couldn't sleep, lay there for two hours until I gave in and thought I'd at least be productive is I was awake. Being between jobs at the moment means it isn't too bad but once I'm in work I might start taking the sleeping tablets the doctor gave me. Don't want to take them now or I'd never get out of bed!
So currently, I generally stay online until I actually feel properly tired, so 4am ish! And I get up between 8.30am and 3pm *sigh*

Work makes a big difference in the time we got to bed doesn't it? We know we have to be alert and need a good nights sleep to do our jobs.

Hi ctrymuziklvr, it has been my usual practice to have regular bed time. This could ensure me to have sufficient amount of sleep. I could also plan the daily routines by doing so. Anyhow I may have exception occasionally to go to bed late, especially during traveling and can’t keep up my regular routine as usual.

I'm a night owl. This means I am on line late into the nght or reading a good book. I don't schedule sleep and have been known to just take a nap, if needed.

yeah, it changes depending if i have work or not. during weekdays i usually go to bed at 10 so i can wake up as early as 5:30 in the morning with enough sleep. but on weekends, i go to bed whenever i want to. ^__^ weekends are always the fun part of a week right?? i can go to sleep at midnight without thinking of getting up early the next day. ^__^

Hi ctry,...no, no special time to go to bed, although I do kind of relax at least by 8:00 and watch TV.
Then I kind of fall asleep eventually, and it seems no matter what time I fall asleep, I'm still up anytime around 4:30 and 5:30 in the morning.
I wonder what happened to when I could sleep in like when I was younger, haha.....the good old days.

I Had a very well scheduled and maintained bedtime till i was in school and even during my college days but for the past three years after my job the whole thing has been messed up so well that am not able to put it back in place...I sleep late when i feel sleepy or if everyone in my room have slept, being put up in a hostel for my job we keep chatting and gossiping that its usually late nights even early morning tat i sleep.Getting up is the most toughest thing i find especially after the sunday with my whole day in bed. I get up at the neck of the hour when i know i have to or i would get delayed to work....Everything has now changed for the past few years :))))

How very funny and similar we are in reasons we go to bed early. I also go to bed earlier if I'm running low on cigs, or drinks.HaHa I do not have a set bed time, which is cool but my 2 year old daughter does not either. I like it this way for now. I like to stay up late and sleep in untill 1:oop.m My boyfriend does not usually go to work till 3 so at night is when we get to spend our time together. Once my daughter is old enough to start school, my bedtime routine will have to be diffrent. Well at least hers will.LOL
