We are a little more than half way through the month of January now and I was wondering how everyone is doing with their New Years resolutions. Are you keeping yours? Or have you already fallen off the wagon?
I didn't make a whole lot of resolutions this year. I do have one bad habit and that is taking on more things than I can handle and then I get stressed out. So I'm trying not to over extend myself this year. So far I'm doing great. How are you doing with your resolutions?

I'm making progress on a few, especially looking to move and writing and getting back to dance (which I did today; taking a class).

Well,I think I am partially keeping it.Well the new resolution that I am keeping is writing a diary.but resoltions like oging to the gym everyday is turning out to be a lost one as I am not able to overcome my laziness. But I will start again once my exams get over. Also praying everyday is one of the resoltuons I am keeping and one resoltion I am not keeping is doing exercise fpr my eyes.

So far so good for me and my resolution! I actually got a bit of a headstart. Around mid-November I resolved to lose the 50 pounds that I had lost before and regained! I have lost 21.5 of them! I also had a New Year's Resolution to be more active rather than sedentary and develop healthier habits. At least 3 times per week I have exercised for 30 minutes. Some days it is a very brisk walk (that was early Dec before it got so cold!) and some it is my recumbant bicycle, and others it is aerobic tapes. I am down to one soft drink every 3-4 days (diet) and have cut my coffee consumption by over half! We switched from canola oil to olive oil too!

I did not make any resolutions because they're hard to be kept. LOL!

Well, I had the same old resolution I have every year which is to lose weight. I have been successful this year though, because I began back at the beginning of October (lousy time to start but then again I don't know when its a good time.) Anyway, as of today, I've lost 32lbs with 4 to go, so hopefully I will start on my next resolution of exercising regularly!.

LOL I am a very very slow starter this year, I just can't get into the right gear, I did say I would rejoin a gym, as I had to leave my last one because of my move, I have got as far as going into the gym and getting the literature but I haven't joined, I can't seem to be motivated, but I have however sorted my counseling out and at long last it looks like I'm going to get long term counseling at long last, so at least I have completed one of my resolutions for 2008!

I'm doing good with my resolutions. My main one that I wanted to keep was to not miss any doctor appointments or change the appointments. I have had 4 so far in January and not missed a one. Sometimes I get nervous if I have to drive far, or I know I hate going to a particular doctor, and I reschedule, putting it off. I don't want to do that, I want to just do what I know to do, and let the rest take care of itself. : )

Yep I'm keeping mine :) My resolution as for the last several years was to not make any New Years resolutions - I never seemed to manage to keep them so just don't bother making them anymore.
I hope others are as successfull as I've been these last years :)

I can't say I have been keeping my New Years resolutions. One of them is to eat smarter like hot vegetables and salads and home made soups and lots of fruit. I do good for a few days and then I have a day like today where I eat everything I can get my hands on, or so it seems. Today I had 2 pancakes for breakfast with lots of syrup on them. Then for lunch I had a bowl of homemade turkey soup, which was good because it had lots of vegetables in it. Then for supper I had shrimp fried in lots of butter and garlic. Then an hour later I ate a dozen sourkraut perogies, fried no less. Then I had some pudding a couple hours later. Then some ice cream and then some popcorn. I can't believe I have eaten so much today and I know I will suffer with water retention tomorrow. Now I know what I did was bad so for the next 4 or 5 days I will eat right again. Then I blow it again and eat junk. I have to stop doing this.
