I was fortunate enough to be with my Dad when he passed. I told him I loved him. I gently ran my hand over his hair and told him I knew he had to go but not to worry about us here we would be fine. The last words daddy spoke to me were I Love You. I will carry it in my heart forever.

I did recently to my husband... I told him that I would always keep his light in my heart and never go out. That he was the best friend in the world to me and be hard for me to replace him...I told him I loved him so much that I wish I was in place takeing the pain and going so that he could live on. I told him there was not a day that I regreted being with him..told him that life for me would go on but not the same with out him...He smiled said I love you so much and passed away.....got to go now sorry

Just comfort them, say nice things, hold their hand (sorry this is all so clichéed) & make them as comfortable as I could I suppose. I have never been in this position.
